This is a Beautiful 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air 2 Dr Hdtop V8 Manual Car. It has been restored frame-on and no expense spared. It has a built 1971 Chevrolet 402 Big Block which has been bored 30 over and makes 408 cubic inches. It includes a steel crank with hydraulic roller cam, MSD ignition, headers, etc and produces 372 HP and of course the dyno sheet is available for inspection. This beast also has a Doug Nash 5 speed which shifts the vehicle with ease. A 12 Bolt Posi with 410 gears conclude this smooth running drivetrain. This beauty is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes and the wheels are weld 15x4 in the front and 15x8 in the rear. New tires all around. This car runs and drives beautifully.

The interior is all custom with a black and silver hue. The seats, door panels, dash, headliner, etc are all perfect. This car has power windows, ididit tilt steering column, sun super tach, new carpet, and weatherstrip all the way around the car.

The exterior includes a beautiful two-toned black and silver paint job with laser straight panels, new grille, new front and rear bumpers, new hood ornament, all the stainless buffed to a show finish, new weatherstrip, and nice dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. This car was straight and rust free to begin with. I believe at some point, the car had new quarters put on, but it was a professional job. This car was stripped to bare metal before being painted.

This car has an aluminum radiator, stock suspension - but replaced any bushings that needed it.

This car is a great cruiser with just enough power to get down the road. It runs and drives Great!

Pics Aplenty: Meet the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra [w/poll]

Thu, 13 Dec 2012

Today was a pretty big day for General Motors, debuting the all-new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra light-duty pickup trucks ahead of their official showcase at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. And now that the dust has settled at GM's big reveal event, we've had a chance to snap dozens of photos of the new pickup pair from every angle.
We already told you the important bits earlier today (click here in case you missed it), but let's recap. Under the hood are three new engines - a 4.3-liter V6, 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 (you know, a version of the small-block that'll also be found under the hood of the C7 Corvette), all mated to six-speed automatic transmissions. The 2014 model year marks the return of the Z71 off-road package with Rancho shocks, front tow hooks and beefier underbody protection. Inside, there's a host of new technology and a greater focus on better quality and refinement.
Some of the nitty-gritty specifics (like engine output numbers and fuel economy) have yet to be revealed, and since we haven't driven the finished products yet, it's hard to say how these trucks will fare against rivals like the Ram 1500 and Ford F-150. For now, we can only judge these two books by their covers, and while we do like the designs of the new trucks, we Autoblog staffers are torn on exactly which one looks best.

Mother's Day Suggestion No. 2,506

Thu, 02 May 2013

With Mother's Day coming up, we're always looking for new gift ideas to celebrate the occasion, but hot laps around a track might not be the best suggestion for Darius Khashabi. In a video posted on YouTube, Khashabi straps his mom into the passenger seat of his C6 Corvette Z06 for some laps around Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon Raceway) at "60 percent" with comical results.
Now this isn't the first time Mama Khashabi has gotten seat time in her son's car around a track, as his YouTube page shows him pulling a similar stunt - with similar results - around Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca last year. Scroll down for the video, but know that the action really gets going at around the 1:40 mark.

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1

Thu, 28 Feb 2013

During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
