fast, modern but still stock. Almost everything is new - body, paint, motor, trans, rear, interior, drive shaft,
wheels, tires, wiring, chrome, stainless, weatherstripping, etc. Paint is Hot Rod Black. M22 Rockcrusher Trans, 383
stroker small block, 9.3 Pontiac/Olds rear with Mosier axles 35 spline 456 gears and 4 wheel disc brakes, custom
drive shaft. Most of the inteiror restored. New headliner, carpet, mats, seats, door panels, radio, clock. Dash
painted, restored factory steering wheel. Dash lights, interior light, headlights, turn signals - all work. New
wiring throughout. New Hurst custom made pie crust Radial tires with Billet Specialists Comp 5 wheels. Car is set
up to handle some real horsepower. Cal tracs frame tied 4 wheel disc brakes. 9.3 Pontiac/Olds rear - everything is
new!! This car drives like a dream. No rattles, shakes, etc. I have spent alot of money, my time other peoples time
on this car. With current set up car runs 12.01 @115mph in the 1/4 mile.only one pass perfectly straight. Not fast
enough for you? I have a 648 hp 355 in. small block to go with car. Carb to pan - brand new, ready to drop in
anytime. Try to find another '55 Chevy that looks like this one and drives like a Caddy.

Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
New Bright creating exclusive 1:8 scale radio-controlled C7 Corvette
Mon, 04 Feb 2013If you want a new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette but can't quite save up enough pennies for the monthly payment, we have good news for you. Toymaker New Bright has pulled the covers off of its 1:8 scale remote-controlled version of the American sports car. Complete with a very detailed interior and LED headlights, this large-scale R/C is as close as most of us will ever come to having one of the menacing Chevrolet models to call our very own. New Bright still hasn't released pricing or availability, but word has it the coupe should hit the market soon.
Right now, it appears as if the C7 will hit shelves in Torch Red, though we don't know if other colors are planned as well. The good news is that New Bright isn't exactly turning its back on the old C6 - representatives say the company will continue to make its popular C6R racecar for those who prefer round taillights.
2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
