2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Lt Crew Cab Pickup 4-door 5.3l on 2040-cars
Lima, Ohio, United States
2002 Chevy avalanche 1500 4x4 Z71,
5.3 L V8,
181,550 miles currently on the truck (still driven),
3-4" suspension lift,
33" equivalent tires (50% tread),
New alignment, lots of new steering parts, new battery, new fuel pump, new fuel filter, both front wheel bearings changed within the last year or so. new brakes. New rear main seal.
Everything on the truck works just fine! Ice cold AC!!
Body is in pretty good shape. Only one small spot of rust over the driver rear wheel. (Can't see the spot, only can feel a small bubble - See pictures)
Has a dent over the passenger front quarter panel (Shown in picture).
Check engine light comes on from time to time. Nothing noticeable wrong with the way it runs.. ** Had the codes pulled - It is an emissions code for the evap pressure sensor - low pressure. - No effect on how the vehicle drives.
The truck was rear ended in 2011 - Damage was never fixed - See pictures of scratches on tailgate .
I've owned the truck since it had 100,500 miles. Never had troubles with it - been a great truck! My reason for selling is I got a new job and the drive is 62 miles round trip - Looking to get a more fuel efficient car and save some gas!
This truck was driven by a NON-smoker!

2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette wastes no time zooming into Jay Leno's Garage
Thu, 24 Jan 2013Where else would you expect the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to show up first? Although this time it isn't exactly in Jay Leno's Garage, Leno instead playing an away game at Brown's Classic Auto in Scottsdale, Arizona. Nor does Leno drive the car, instead taking an 11-minute walkaround of the new American sports car with General Motors design head Ed Welburn, the same man who recently brought by a string of classic Corvettes to the talk show host's California compound.
It is, admittedly, a love-fest for the American sports car now featuring 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque, but one that also features admissions about previous Corvette seats like "they were kinda rough," and the explanation that labeling the coupe "Stingray" means not having to call it "the base Corvette." On top of that, Welburn also explains the proper application of the term "dashboard." You can watch it all in the video below.
Amelia Island 2013: Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray from concepts to split windows
Wed, 13 Mar 2013While this year marks 60 years of the Chevrolet Corvette, the 2013 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance focused on one of the coupe's most sought after models, the 1963 Sting Ray. General Motors design boss Ed Welburn was on hand to show off the all-new C7 Corvette, but even the hard-edged styling of the 2014 Stingray couldn't take away from the beautiful 1963 models sitting out on the field.
In addition to the original Sting Ray and the 1959 Sting Ray Concept, some of the other classic 'Vettes included "Big Tank" racecars, an interesting cutaway coupe, a right-hand-drive Z06 and the attention-grabbing 1963 Corvette Rondine by Pininfarina. Another impressive Corvette was the 1964 Corvette XP-819 rear-engine prototype. Owner Mike Yager had the car finished as a driving chassis for this year's show, but promises the car will be back to its original glory in time for next year's event.
Watch this time-lapse build of the Chevy SS for NASCAR
Fri, 08 Feb 2013There's only about a week left until we get our first look at the production version of the 2014 Chevrolet SS sedan, but Chevrolet NASCAR teams have been looking at the race version of the car all winter. Autoweek has posted a really neat time-lapse video showing just a portion of what it takes to build one of NASCAR's new Gen6 stock cars.
Though the video is quite brief, it does show almost the entire build process starting with just the car's nose, and it gives us a good look at how integral the template is to the final product. As a bonus, Hendrick Motorsports also provided some videos showing two of its teams performing pit stop tests over the winter. The second video shows some of the more detailed aspects of the racecar's rear end, including the stock-looking trunk cutout and a newly mandated rear bumper extension that will be used on super speedways like Daytona and Talladega.
To see what Team Chevy has been up to all off-season, check out all three videos posted after the jump.
