Exceptionally Clean 2004 Astro 7 Passenger Family Mini Van, Awd on 2040-cars
Utica, New York, United States
I have up for your consideration a beautiful 2004 AWD Chevy Astro Van… Please take a close look at the pictures, this is as clean as they come, I don’t think there is another 2004 like this right now available on e-Bay and if you've been looking you know that this type van is getting harder and harder to find, especially in the shape that this one is in… It’s a super well maintained vehicle from the engine to the paint, a beautiful two-tone grey paint with roof racks and factory running boards… The interior is in spectacular shape, exceptionally clean, smoke free vehicle with stain free carpets and seats, the dash and door panels are perfect with no cracks or scratches… It has all the options including AM/FM CD player, ice cold A/C, cruise, power windows and locks, rear heat and A/C and more… It has front bucket seats with adjustable arm rests and removable / folding middle and rear seats, this van has it all… Rear Dutch Doors open easily to load and unload cargo or groceries... The van is powered by a 6 cyl Vortec engine and a smooth shifting automatic transmission, runs 100%, it’s my daily driver and I wouldn’t hesitate for one minute to drive it cross country tomorrow, it’s that good of a vehicle… There is a Class III hitch and a factory Towing Package and if you look at picture of the inside rear section you will see a brand new wiring harness… Beautiful factory Chevy MAG wheels and the tires are only 8 months old with about 3,500 miles on them... There are no known issues except for one, for some reason the ABS brake light comes every on every once in a while, I had it checked and there is nothing wrong with the ABS, I was told it’s possibly a loose wire but like I say the ABS works 100%... It is great on the highway and eats up snow like nothing else on the road... This is NO RESERVE Auction, high bidder wins the vehicle so please bid with confidence, you won’t be sorry… Please note, the van is available for sale locally and I reserve the right to stop the auction at any time... |

More Corvette Stingray Factoids: Vanishing panel gaps and 26-mpg LT1
Thu, 28 Feb 2013During January's Detroit Auto Show, we managed a longer than expected wandering tag-team interview with C7 Corvette chief engineering exec Tadge Juechter (pictured above), and LT1 engine boss Jordan Lee (pictured below). They are, quite honestly, two of the very nicest bigshot lads to ever walk the engineering corridors of an American manufacturer. Both are enthralled by what they're doing for a day job. So are we.
We've followed the pre-sale anticipation for the Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray like an Oreck vacuum yanking every speck of dirt from a well-trampled carpet. Everything is reportable and contains a grain of further knowledge about this dramatically important and cheered-for car, as it continues to be pressured into representing all that is superior about the American dream. The Corvette wears one heavy cloak.
So, most of what was talked about has been expertly reported already right here on Autoblog. But, looking through our notes again, both Jeuchter and Lee added facts to the buzzing mix.
Chevrolet Captiva looks mildly refreshed and ready for family duty
Tue, 05 Mar 2013We showed you Chevrolet's major debut yesterday, the 2014 Corvette Stingray Convertible, but General Motors is making a big push for Bowtie consideration in Europe, so it's also introducing the updated Captiva crossover here at the Geneva Motor Show.
While still based on the same platform as North America's fleet-only Captiva Sport (which is effectively a rebadged Saturn Vue), the Captiva is available in both five- and seven-seat iterations, and it looks far more modern. That's particularly the case with this updated model, which features revamped front- and rear ends that include restyled bumpers, grilles and LED taillamps, among other changes.
As before, the midsize Theta-platform CUV will be available in both front- and all-wheel drive, and is expected to carry a range of four- and six-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Important US programming note: Chevrolet sources tell us that America's Captiva Sport will not receive these updates.
GM won't pay owners of recalled cars for lost value
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Kenneth Feinberg, the man in charge of the General Motors compensation fund dealing with the its widespread ignition switch woes, has issued an informal, two-letter response to the plaintiffs in more than 70 lawsuits seeking redress for lost resale value of their Cobalts: "No." The cases were recently combined into one, but Feinberg told The Detroit News that the fund will deal "only with death and physical injury claims," and that "perceived diminished value" will get no consideration.
ALG, the firm specializing in establishing residual values, determined that Cobalt owners had lost $300 compared to the segment competition and doesn't envision any long-term effects from the recall situation. Feinberg's statement comes in advance of public details on how the compensation fund will work and adheres to GM's long-held position on the matter. The company has already asked a judge to throw out such suits using the pre-bankruptcy defense, even as it stopped using that defense in cases of injury and death.
With plenty of potential gain from the GM suit, however, don't expect the plaintiffs to give up yet. When Toyota was sued for the same reason during the unintended acceleration debacle, it eventually settled the case for between $1 billion and $1.4 billion just to get it over with. Since the 85 law firms involved in the Toyota litigation took home more than $250 million of that total, we shouldn't expect the attorneys to give up on a GM payout, either.
