Car does need some work, passenger door has a dent, which is pictured, trunk hydraulic system is not working, so the trunk must be propped open, as with the hood, but I hear they are easy and cheap to replace in the hood. The leather is worn as you could imagine for how old it is, also there is no tape deck or CD player of any kind in the car, the engine runs strong and is not leaking, holding its fluids, the power steering hoses were recently replaced, heating and cooling system has not work since I bought the car a year ago, 'Im sure its an easy fix, but i'm not a mechanic so I don't mess with it. The transmission in this car I do believe needs some repair, I cannot get it to move when it is in reverse gear, but seems to be running fine in forward gears, this car would make for a great project car to fix up and drive, it has a strong V8 motor, and is still a comfy car considering it is a 1990. Shipping and payment information: If you would like the vehicle shipped and you pay for the shipping and payment is cleared through my account we will be good to go, if vehicle does not get bids, but you want to come look at it, I will gladly show the vehicle. Few more odds and ends: This Cadillac has 229,335 miles on it, the title is clean and clear. Wheels are new, tires have about 50% tread on them.

Cadillac to move select offices from Detroit to Manhattan?

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

Under Johan de Nysschen, Infiniti moved its headquarters from Yokohama, Japan, to Hong Kong. Now at Cadillac, it appears the company's new president could be planning a relocation of at least some of the brand's operations from Detroit to Manhattan, according to a new report from Reuters.
In the case of Infiniti, de Nysschen pushed for the move because moving away from the brand's Nissan overlords would allow it a bit more freedom. It's evidently a similar case for Cadillac, with Reuters speculating that such a move would help distance the brand from the corporate culture in Detroit. A Big Apple move could also attract new talent that may have considered a job with the brand but were put off by the idea of living in Detroit.
It's important to note that if such a move takes place, it likely won't affect the folks actually responsible for developing the brand's vehicles. Instead, administrative functions, including marketing, could be the focus of the relocation.

Cadillac, Buick and Chevy decisions impacted by worries abroad

European Concerns Drive GM, But Beware Of The French Connection
GM's bid to rationalize Europe will impact the products that will be offered domestically.
It seems that Europe is defining the future of General Motors more so than its home North American market. Having axed Saturn, Pontiac and Hummer, GM has done a fairly good job of repositioning its remaining four divisions, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. Cadillac carries the luxury banner. Chevrolet is aimed at the masses with cars and trucks along with a nod to performance thanks to Camaro and Corvette. Buick bridges the premium gap between Chevy and Cadillac, while GMC offers a hardcore work/upscale proposition.

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax

Thu, 24 Jul 2014

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
