You're looking at a 1985 Cadillac Seville Elegante'. I purchased this car 6 years ago to restore but ended up turning it into a daily driver. The car has 159,082 miles on it, but the engine was gone through about 40,000 miles back (just prior to me getting it) and a new transmission was put in it about 28,000 miles back. The car runs good and does not use oil but does leak some like all of the old Cadillacs did. It has many other new parts within the last 29,000 miles as well including: all new shocks (air ride equipped in rear) water pump, timing chain, and smog pump....just to name a few. And in the last 3,000 miles it has gotten 4 new tires, all new brakes, new brake calipers in the rear, master cylinder, new windshield, fuel filter and new battery. Also the oil was just changed a few miles back as well. I just purchased a new car so this one is just sitting now. Would make a great daily driver or a fairly easy restore if you continued where I left off. Heat works and the air was working last fall but I didn't use the air this winter and I think it needs recharged. All power seats, windows and locks, lights, radio w/ cassette, rear defrost work. Twilight sentinel and power antenna don't. It needs a few things...mostly cosmetic. Interior wise: it needs a head liner and visors redone, the drivers seat needs some leather repair, and the dash is cracked. Exterior needs the filler panels replaced, Drivers side tail light lens is broken (replacement is in the trunk for it) a couple small dents removed and a new paint job would make this a sharp looking car. I tried to take as many pictures as I could of things. There's not a lot of these still going..especially the "elegante' " models. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Of course, this car is sold "AS/IS" and the buyer is responsible for shipping. However, I will try to help deliver the car to the shipping company as long as it's within a reasonable distance away from me. Thanks for looking!!

Opel director Sedran to succeed Docherty as Chevy Europe boss
Wed, 26 Jun 2013When longtime General Motors executive Susan Docherty announced she would be stepping down from her post as the head of Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, there was some idle chatter that plans for the creation of a new global overseer position for the Bowtie brand was behind the move. And while US sales chief Alan Batey has indeed assumed control of Chevy worldwide since her departure announcement, Docherty's vacancy is being filled after all, with Opel chief strategist Thomas Sedran taking up the reins.
That's according to Automotive News, who reports that Sedran will be tasked with pulling Chevy out of a sales funk, much of it pegged on Europe's stagnant auto industry, which has sunk to a 20-year low. AN notes that Chevy's EU sales plunged 32 percent to 57,584 units through the first five months of 2013, but the everyday value brand is faring worlds better than Cadillac, which has sold just 167 units in Europe over the same time period.
Sedran, 48, has been in the auto industry for over 20 years. Most recently, at Opel he had been working on long-term plans for the marque, and was appointed to the brand's management board in April of last year. Prior to joining GM, Sedran was employed as a management consultant for AlixPartners, where he worked closely with Opel for six years. Sedran will assume his new duties beginning July 1.
Cadillac to bolster CT sedans with XT crossovers
Wed, 01 Oct 2014Cadillac is moving swiftly to change up its naming scheme. Barely over a week ago we received our first indication that it was considering a different name its the upcoming flagship sedan previously known as LTS. Then Cadillac not only revealed the model would be called CT6, but announced that it would set the stage with a massive overhaul of its model nomenclature. And now we have another piece of the puzzle.
According to Forbes, Cadillac will not only rename its sedans with the letters CT, but will realign its utility vehicles under the banner of XT - both to be followed by a number indicating its place in the lineup. The one exception will be the Escalade, whose nameplate has such a strong following that it would be foolish for Cadillac to cast it aside. That leaves only the SRX (pictured above), but makes room for a new crop of crossovers said to be in the works.
It's a similar approach which Cadillac's new boss Johan de Nysschen took in revising the naming scheme at Infiniti. While it's bound to ruffle some feathers and scratch some heads in the beginning - especially since the company's current flagship sedan is called XTS - it's equally sure to make sense of it all in the long run. All we need to know now is what Nysschen and his marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus plan to call the coupes.
Cadillac toned down ATS Coupe design due to customer feedback [w/poll]
Tue, 02 Sep 2014Automakers always face a difficult decision when it comes to styling their cars. Design them too blandly and nobody will get excited about them. But style them too aggressively and they'll often end up turning off potential buyers.
Cadillac, for its part, is no stranger to aggressive design, but when it came to the new ATS Coupe, it elected to tone things down a bit. Speaking with The Detroit News in a wide-ranging interview, Cadillac design director Bob Boniface revealed that the original design for its compact coupe was edgier - closer to that of the CTS Coupe - with a wedgier profile, a more steeply raked beltline and a more severe grille. But potential customers surveyed in clinics apparently didn't like it. They found it looked heavy, inefficient and not fun to drive. So Boniface and his team literally went back to the drawing board and "took as much visual mass out of the car as [they] could." The resulting coupe, while handsome, looks far more similar to its four-door companion than did Cadillac's CTS.
What do you think, does the new ATS Coupe look just right, or is it too conservative? Voice your opinion in our quick online poll.
