1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Talisman edtion Very rare just 62,008 miles simply mint. This is one of the rarest of all Cadillac's ever built.While myself being and collector of cadillac's ive been looking for years for and good example well folks i have found it .this is one of the nicest tailsmans there might be While the Fleetwood Brougham was the flagship of the Cadillac sedans, there was nothing that could touch the elegance, prestige and pure luxury of the Talisman. With its unique vinyl roof pattern, turbine style wheel covers, Talisman emblems throughout and the ultra plush Medici cloth interior, this Fleetwood was a statement above all others. Inside it features twin captain chairs in front with a center console, writing table, pen placement, and special lighting. The Ultra plush Velour is on the seats, trim and door panels. in the back there are magazine holders and thicker carpeting. the interior of this example is like new. There is no cracking on the dash or steering wheel. All of the door panels show no Cracking or wear. This Fleetwood Talisman has come to us from a Cadillac Collector who owned many of these fabulous cars. Having recently come out of storage, it has had major reconditioning. Included are, new radiator, new heater core, new fuel Lines, new cap, rotor, plugs and wires, new front shocks, new power antenna, new windshield washer pump, rebuilt gas gauge sending unit, A/C Service, rear tail light fillers and new modern tires. This Fleetwood Talisman also features factory Fuel Injection. Almost unheard of at the time,Also making this one even more rare the fuel injection added additional power and torque. Seinfeld and Don Rickles stretch out in classic Caddy for latest CiCGC
Thu, 04 Jul 2013It's no surprise that for the newest episode of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, airing for the first time on the 4th of July, that a couple of American classics are involved. You'll Never Play the Copa unites Seinfeld with legendary curmudgeon Don Rickles, driving around in a stunner of a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Seville in Gleneagles Green (upholstery wrapped in Grandma-spec plastic, of course).
Mr. Rickles really steals the show in this one - maybe our favorite CiCGC to date - though the Eldorado plays a strong-jawed costarring role, for sure. Stories about Ronald Regan, Frank Sinatra, Billy Graham and, of course, Herkie Styles are more than worth the price of admission. Check it out below.

The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Cadillac to vie for Secret Service armored car contract, new Beast?
Wed, 03 Jul 2013President Obama has used the same armored limo since his inauguration in 2008. Known by many as The Beast, the Presidential Limo was provided by Cadillac and earned its nickname in large part because of its massive size, which isn't surprising considering that its Caddy-shaped bodywork is said to sit atop a heavy-duty truck chassis.
It seems the Secret Service may be in the market for a Beast replacement, having issued a request for proposals for a new armored limo. According to Motor Trend, Obama's backup limo is a leftover from the Bush Administration, so it will be interesting to see if this new machine will serve as a replacement for The Beast or for its backup. The contract is to be awarded by September 29, 2013.
The boys from MT contacted Cadillac, Lincoln and Chrysler, and Chrysler is the only one that would confirm that it is not pursuing the contract. Cadillac may have the inside track, as it has provided Presidential limos since 1993, but Lincoln also has a long and storied history of chauffeuring the President.
