This car is in amazing condition!!! It has all the gold emblems and all the bells and whistles including factory counsel phone, and they all work. Automatic Day/Night Inside Rearview Mirror with Max/Min setting. The outside rearview mirror is controlled by the same three position sensitivity switch that controls the inside mirror. When you shift into Reverse the mirror changes to the daytime mode for a bright image as you back up. Drivers side 2-position memory. Rear seat vanity mirrors. Individual power recliners on front seats. Trunk opens by pushing a button as well as gas tank. A/C was converted to 134a. The tires are nearly new and in excellent condition! All maintenance and inspections done every 6 months. Just had a full tune up and new battery, water pump, in-tank fuel pump and oil change. It is super quiet and has no leaks. This car has a lot of power and you can't even feel it shift gears. It sold originally for $37,230!!!. If you like luxury then this car is for you!!!!!!! The previous owner said the check engine light came on sometimes but I haven't seen it. I have only driven it a few times since I bought it in April and it runs and drives like only the Cadillac can. The engine is spotless. All fluids are good. The only non factory parts are remote car starter and alpine cd player. The guy I purchased it from said it was driven from South Dakota to Arizona every winter and in a garage every night. There is NO rust, scratches, dings or peeling paint. Everything works great. This is a steal. Only 686 of the 5,286 Sixty Specials (priced at $37,230) built in 1993 were ordered with the "Ultra" interior. High retail is $5,100.00 and average is $3,425.00. Reserve is well under blue book value. Low reserve.

GM recalling 2013 Buick LaCrosse, Cadillac SRX over transmission software
Thu, 21 Mar 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued recalls for the 2013 Buick LaCrosse and 2013 Cadillac SRX due to a problem with the software for the transmission controller. On about 27,000 SRX and LaCrosse models, the transmission could accidentally be shifted to Sport mode, which would reduce the amount of engine braking drivers experience.
NHTSA says this could increase the risk of a crash, but, fortunately, the required fix is simply an update to the software.
While we're on the subject of General Motors vehicle recalls, a small number (48) of compressed natural gas versions of the 2011 Chevrolet Express are also being recalled for a potential risk of fire or explosion. Yikes. Both official recall notices are posted below.
Cadillac scraps three-row CUV plans
Fri, 23 May 2014Crossovers are one of the hottest automotive segments on the planet. Apparently, the idea of mixing the practicality of a station wagon with the looks of an SUV appeals to people whether they are in Cleveland or Shanghai because nearly every automaker is jumping into the market. So it was no surprise when early rumors suggested Cadillac was planning two, new CUVs to fit above and below the SRX. But things might have changed since then.
New rumblings indicate Caddy is taking a different route. Instead of two crossovers, only the compact is on the way, and the larger, three-row CUV on the Lambda platform to sit between the SRX and Escalade may be a goner. According to Ward's Auto, General Motors thinks that the other three-row, Lambda vehicles like the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia compete too closely with the proposed Cadillac. The decision comes fairly close to the 2017 intended production date.
As far back as 2010, this Lambda-platform based CUV was considered highly likely for production. However, Cadillac Senior Vice President Bob Ferguson was somewhat cooler about it when he discussed the new crossover briefly last year. He said the model could use the Escalade name, despite its unibody chassis, but no decision had been made yet to actually produce it.
General Motors shaking up its marketing... again
Wed, 13 Mar 2013One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")
