In 1978 Cadillac gave a fleetwood to a hearse factory to customize into a cadillac hearse There may be some other mods done as well, heres what I know: 504 Cubic inch engine Stands 5' 10" windows and doors all custom (larger and higher) inside rear 9' x 5 1/2' a few places have miner cracks and 3x5 inch crack near rear ( a little body work) Gas milage aprox 9 miles to gallon — standard unleaded aprox 40 gall tank 4 door rollers in back great for band or surf board, etc. all lights signals mirrors windows handles radio speedo gauges(except fuel) work new air filter, power steering fluid, transmission fluid color- silver Runs Very Well Handles like mid-size car slight exhaust leak- a little loudish when cold but does not at all affect performance aprox $15,000 in 79 guessing 1000 maybe even as few as 100 of this style fleetwood modified in this limited production -valuable Caddy,could be show car possible needs: body work, paint job, fuel gauge fixed, tyres are good but not stock Gets lots of attention, great for goths metal surfers band members as has working lights and rollers for equipment in rear, we had a lot of fun with it. Cadillac ATS-V shares track time and new face with CTS-V sibling
Tue, 24 Jun 2014It's been about eight months since we last heard anything on the eagerly anticipated Cadillac ATS-V, meaning it was high time a new batch of photos arrived of the twin-turbocharged, V6-powered sedan.
This latest round includes a shot of the hot ATS-V alongside the upcoming CTS-V, allowing us to glimpse through the camouflage and spot the family resemblance between the two über sedans. According to our spies, this is the first time we've gotten a look at the ATS-V's fascia without a nose bra to obscure larger details. This isn't the first time we've seen a vertically slated grille on an in-development Cadillac V car, although it is the first time we've seen it on the ATS-V. Aside from the main grille, the shapes of the sportier front fascia of the ATS-V tie in nicely with its big brother. We are rather curious about the hood on the ATS-V. It's difficult to tell from these images, but it looks like there may be some vents up there that may be meant to improve cooling to the alleged 425-horsepower engine.
Other details that we can see include swollen fenders and larger wheels that hide amplified brakes. The rear of the car remains heavily obscured by camo, with the sole details of note being the quad exhausts, which we've spotted on previous ATS-V prototypes.
GM's Reuss explains why Cadillac is heading to New York

General Motors product chief Mark Reuss elaborated Tuesday on Cadillac's move to New York in 2015, saying it will "elevate" the brand and allow it to reach new customers.
GM recalls 61k more vehicles in three campaigns
Sun, 05 Oct 2014Following a stop-delivery order for its new midsize trucks and a rash of recent recalls, General Motors is issuing three more campaigns covering 60,575 vehicles in North America with 57,182 of them in the US. As of October 1, the automaker has issued a total of 74 recalls (see the ridiculously long chart to the right) this year covering 26,495,070 units in the US.
The largest campaign covers 46,873 examples in the US of the 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 and 2011-2013 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle imported from Australia. It's possible for the driver's knee to hit the key and make it move from the "Run" to "ACC" position while driving. GM says its Holden division is developing a fixed-blade key that's supposed to fix the problem by only allowing it to rotate toward the "On" position. There has been one crash caused by this fault but no injuries or fatalities.
The second recall is for 10,005 units of the 2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V and 2006-2007 Cadillac STS-V because "the fuel pump module electrical terminal may overheat." This can cause a flange to melt and allow the pump to leak fuel. GM specifies that the remedy for the CTS-V is replacing the fuel module and fuel tank jumper harness, but it doesn't specify how the STS-V is being repaired.
