Reluctantly selling our 1967 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special sedan. Original California Survivor with only 110,000 miles and original black and yellow license plates. Our Fleetwood was sold new at Reliable Pontiac Cadillac in Roseville California in the fall of 1966 and has been a California Car ever since. This is a bone stock Fleetwood that was garaged and well maintained and has traveled just under 111,000 miles. Fully loaded, A/C, power seat, cruise control, power antenna, power windows etc. Only 3,550 Fleetwood Sixty Special's were made compared to 12,750 Fleetwood Broughams making this car a rare find today. The Sixty Special is essentially the same car as the Brougham minus the Vinyl roof, footrests, trays and reading lights. This Fleetwood had been in storage for approx 25 years until 2011. Within the last 10,000 miles the master cylinder, radiator, starter , u-joints and alternator were replaced, new hoses, belts, filters, tune up etc. The Carburetor was rebuilt and new Cooper trendsetter white walls were installed ($580), have receipts for work done. Handles and rides extremely nice but will need some engine work as she has developed a rough idle which may be a sticking valve or problem with the Air Injection System? Still runs and drives but the rough idle will need to be diagnosed and fixed by new owner. Body is arrow straight with only one noticeable dent (r/f door, see pictures). Nice gaps and panel fit all the way around. Surprisingly rust free car. Some surface rust around the rear window in spots but no cancer (see pictures). Trunk pan very solid with some rust on left side under the soundproofing. Trunk lock is difficult to unlock with the key so we just use the power trunk release. I do have an an extra original trunk lock with cover that is included. Radio and antenna don't work. The A/C probably needs a service and I've never tried the cruise control. Main power windows all work well but only one power vent window/wing window works, neutral safety switch doesn't work. Interior is all original with drivers seat fabric worn, carpet is a little dingy but would probably clean up well. Headliner has a few rips and stains, door panels are very very nice. dash has cracking, Exterior chrome, trim and glass is in nice shape. Original jack, wheel block, lug wrench, owners manual included. Clear current California Title in our name. Original License plates are included for California Buyers only. Serious bidders only. low reserve. International bidders welcome. Shipping is the sole responsibility and cost of the buyer but I'm happy to assist in loading, meeting your transport driver etc. Sold as is. Good luck bidding.

GM recalling another 2.7 million vehicles in five separate campaigns
Thu, 15 May 2014The recalls keep rolling in from General Motors, evidently keen to avoid repeating the mistakes of the ignition-switch debacle and clean house. This time they're all coming at once, with five separate recalls announced together covering approximately 2.7 million vehicles.
The largest of the five actions involves over 2.4 million units of the previous-generation Chevrolet Malibu and Malibu Maxx, Pontiac G6 and Saturn Aura in order to fix brake light wiring harness, which have been found to be susceptible to corrosion. The recall is separate from the 56k Aura sedans which GM recently recalled over faulty shift cables, not to mention the previous massive recall of 1.3 million vehicles - some of them the same models - but appears to have resulted from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation that started with the G6 almost a year ago.
The second-largest campaign involves the 2014 Chevy Malibu, specifically those fitted with GM's 2.5-liter engine and stop/start system, approximately 140,000 examples of which has been found to have problematic brakes. The issue does not appear to be connected to the recall of 8k Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans (also involving brake woes) which we reported upon last week. Four crashes have been reported in such models, but GM admits it's not yet clear if the problem was a contributing factor in the accidents.
GM outlines strategy for new products, growth in China
Wed, 01 Oct 2014
"Our strategic plan is a pathway to earn customers for life and create significant shareholder value in the process." - Mary Barra
General Motors laid out ambitious plans on Wednesday to become the world's "most valued automotive company," a goal it says it can reach by strengthening its business in China, rebuilding the Cadillac luxury brand and fixing the foundering GM Europe operations.
