Up for sale is a 1984 Cadillac Eldorado.

The vehicle comes with current tags and the vintage blue license plates. I believe to be the second owner of the car. The Cadillac starts up on the first try every time & the engine has a nice purr to it the car runs & dives very smooth the paint is a beautiful fire-truck red, the brakes work but could be changed the power windows work, the electrical odometer & power seats works, it has all the hubcaps and center hub caps, & it comes with a spare tire.

The only problems with the car I'm aware of are the following some of the upholstery in the front could use work, the fuel gauge is not working, there are some scratches on the paint, the antenna is broken but it still gets local FM radio stations, the front alignment is off, the steering wheel telescopes but does not lock into place, the passenger door doesn't always lock, there are two cracks in the windshield about the size of a quarter that don't go all the way through to the other side of the glass, the cassette player doesn't work, & the vehicle needs minor work to pass the smog certificate. I encourage any questions and look forward to answering them.

This is a NO RESERVE winner takes it home auction. All in all this car is in good condition, I drive it around occasionally. For a vehicle that is 30 years old it would make a great collectors car, little work has to be done to restore it to its prime but because I am a student I do not have the time or the funds. The car is sold as is where is but luckily it can be driven home. A $500 deposit is due with in 48 hours NO REFUNDS serious bidders only please. Thank you for your time.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

A few signs that Cadillac's revival is taking hold

Mon, 08 Apr 2013

Only a flatworm would not have predicted the Cadillac ATS would help increase sales for America's erstwhile luxury brand of record; however, even the best automotive oracles didn't realize by how much: The ATS fueled a 49-percent increase of the brand's year-on-year sales in March, the sixth straight month of growth for Cadillac. The momentum helped push General Motors to post a 6.4-increase in sales in March versus 2012, leading its domestic competitors.
Dealership salesmen are among the first to register the shift occurring at Cadillac. A Texas dealer related an incident in which he helped a mother affix a baby seat in a car for a test drive, explaining that as opposed to the older buyers that are still a Cadillac mainstay he's getting "a pretty diverse group that's coming through the door now" who are "younger and better educated." Aided by incentives on the ATS, Cadillac's sales are up 38 percent so far this year, overtaking Acura as the fourth best selling luxury brand, and GM stock is benefiting with incremental gains because of it. Based on early response, the new 2014 Cadillac CTS should keep things going in the same direction.
The trend at the Wreath and Crest is part of a larger sales trend happening among domestics - with other models like the Dodge Dart and Ford Fusion doing well - and overall US car sales. Head over to Bloomberg for the big picture and role the ATS plays in it.

Corvette's Performance Data Recorder headed to other cars, will Cadillac ATS-V be first?

Fri, 14 Nov 2014

For 2015, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray gained a novel piece of high-performance technology: The Performance Data Recorder. This trick system combines video from a front-mounted camera with in-car data and GPS information to help drivers record and study their lap times, complete with data overlays. While it's a clever tool for track days, it's also finding popularity as a built-in dash cam of sorts. To this point, the technology has been a Corvette exclusive, but General Motors' executive vice president of global product development, Mark Reuss, has confirmed to Autoblog that it will soon be available in other vehicles.
At a media luncheon on Thursday, we asked whether GM was keen to expand usage of the technology to other models, and if we could expect to see something soon. Reuss coyly replied, "What's soon?" When we suggested the 2016 Cadillac ATS-V (which is scheduled to debut at next week's LA Auto Show), he replied, "There will be other uses, and it won't be that far away. How's that?"
Certainly not an outright confirmation, but we wouldn't be at all surprised to see the next high-po Cadillac roll under the klieg lights at the Los Angeles Convention Center next Wednesday brandishing more than just 450 horsepower.
