TRIM 34 PAINT 48 Color Persian Sand (48). Interior Plum (Cloth) with Plum (coated Fabric).

ACC EH

92086 miles on odometer. Frame 60 K 132038
Engine last digits are 2667 (fist digits hard to see). Transmission C-60-102473

Windshield and passenger door glass cracked. Windshield you see on picture is ready to go. All chromes are there. Hood rusted through in front. Floor panels have rust through, but don't wary you can keep feet on safely. See pictures. Trunk, lid need some work, floor is perfect. Corner between rear glass and fin has rust through. Headliner is gone. Missing few bullets at grill. I have almost all parts, trims, chromes. See pictures.

Engine is RUNNING and car is DRIVING. Brakes are weak. Master cylinder is not correct, but working. I will not consider long trips.
Transmission is leaking a bit and has sticky 2 gear. I suspect dirty valves.

Took me years to buy missing parts on Ebay bit by bit. Many parts are best selection of 3 to 5 I owe. Very nice working cluster. Left front wheel drum has left hand studs and log nuts! Lights and horn all works.

No restoration was done yet except reconditioning head valves and seats. Welded and temporarily fixed exhaust pipes to make car running. Spray paint here and there to prevent rust. I include correct paint as bonus to highest bider value $200.

Now, what is missing: jack stand, spear wheel, front fenders side moldings, front door panels logos, original windshield wipers, windshield water jar deck, original radiator. The one in the car is from Belair. Heater is there but control valve has soldered valve. Antennae has missing escutchenon. Couldn't find gear indicator yet.

It is very good, almost complete restoration project. More pictures are available at request.

Good Luck!

Thanks.

Cadillac CTS wins 2014 Motor Trend Car of the Year [w/video]

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

For the second time, the Cadillac CTS has been named Motor Trend's Car of the Year. After winning the COTY crown for 2008, the new-for-2014 CTS outdid the other two finalists for Car of the Year honors, the Mazda3 and its corporate cousin, the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
What's notable about the Caddy's victory, though, is how it simply brushed off its competition. Both the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5 Series failed to make the finalist's bracket, leaving the CTS to claim victory. "It had to beat [Mercedes and BMW] on style, on performance, on comfort, and on quality. It has," Motor Trend said in its COTY recap for the CTS.
The team at Motor Trend praised the CTS chassis, calling it "fantastic," and citing weight advantage the Caddy has over the competition. There was also praise heaped on the car's engines, with the 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder getting nods of approval from the MT team. The team also raved about the VSport model and its twin-turbocharged V6, magnetic shocks and other performance accoutrements.

J.D. Power customer survey of dealers counts Cadillac, Buick as big winners

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Cadillac and Buick have taken the trophies in J.D. Power's latest Customer Service Index Study examining satisfaction with dealer service. Surveying more than 90,000 owners and lessees of 2009-2013 model-year cars, the study found that those with pre-paid maintenance packages were ten percent more likely to buy their next car from the same brand.
Dealer satisfaction scores have improved overall, Cadillac nabbed the luxury segment ahead of Audi and Lexus, taking the crown that Lexus held last year. Buick keeps the mass-market dealer satisfaction win in the family, finishing ahead of Volkswagen and last year's winner GMC. The study also found that service department use of tablets increased customer satisfaction, as did "best practices" like "providing helpful advice." Who knew?
You can find details on those and more findings in the press release below.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.
