2001 Cadillac DeVille DTS. Moonroof & 17" Cadillac chrome wheels with newer tires.

This is the DTS sports sedan. Not the regular/plain bench seat DeVille!

Very nice car in & out. Runs & drives excellent. Low miles for the year! Clean Carfax history. No accidents ever. One owner car & garaged most of it's life. The super straight & clean body speaks for itself. The triple coat white diamond (pear white) paint has an exceptional shine. Only imperfections are a minor ding in the deck lid under the 3rd brake lamp. Also the lower left corner of the front bumper. Both are shown in the photos. Both can either be fixed or left as is. Neither take away from the beauty of this car.

The interior is in excellent condition. No rips or tears anywhere. All 4 windows & both power seats work as they should. Hot heat & cold a/c. The Bose stereo sounds very nice.

Only issues & they are minor.
The power tilt & telescopic steering wheel works only on tilt. Not sure if it is the switch or telescopic column motor.
The message Service Stability comes on the message center every now & then. I've checked it for fault codes. None come up. I've never noticed any issues at all when driving. So I'm not sure why that happens. But I just thought I should mention it.

Over all.. this is a beautiful, well taken care of car that is going to make it's next owner very happy.

Cadillac to move select offices from Detroit to Manhattan?

Fri, 22 Aug 2014

Under Johan de Nysschen, Infiniti moved its headquarters from Yokohama, Japan, to Hong Kong. Now at Cadillac, it appears the company's new president could be planning a relocation of at least some of the brand's operations from Detroit to Manhattan, according to a new report from Reuters.
In the case of Infiniti, de Nysschen pushed for the move because moving away from the brand's Nissan overlords would allow it a bit more freedom. It's evidently a similar case for Cadillac, with Reuters speculating that such a move would help distance the brand from the corporate culture in Detroit. A Big Apple move could also attract new talent that may have considered a job with the brand but were put off by the idea of living in Detroit.
It's important to note that if such a move takes place, it likely won't affect the folks actually responsible for developing the brand's vehicles. Instead, administrative functions, including marketing, could be the focus of the relocation.

GM moving international sales HQ to Singapore from Shanghai

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

General Motors has announced that it will be moving its international headquarters from Shanghai to Singapore, a move that will see 120 employees working from the city-state by the time business opens in 2014. Meanwhile, 250 to 300 of the employees at the Shanghai office will remain in China, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
The shuffle is part of a bigger reorganization that will see GM isolate its operations in the People's Republic from its broader international efforts. This sort of divide-and-conquer strategy will allow GM to still react to emerging markets while, according to the WSJ, providing a dedicated management team for the Chinese market. The team in Singapore will be responsible for operations in Africa, southeast Asia, Australia, India, South Korea and the Middle East, on top of managing Chevrolet and Cadillac in Europe, according to a statement from GM.
The shift to Singapore "will help us to create a renewed identity for CIO (Consolidated International Operations) and lead GM's umbrella strategy for the region," said GM Executive Vice President of CIO, Stefan Jacoby.

Cadillac scraps three-row CUV plans

Fri, 23 May 2014

Crossovers are one of the hottest automotive segments on the planet. Apparently, the idea of mixing the practicality of a station wagon with the looks of an SUV appeals to people whether they are in Cleveland or Shanghai because nearly every automaker is jumping into the market. So it was no surprise when early rumors suggested Cadillac was planning two, new CUVs to fit above and below the SRX. But things might have changed since then.
New rumblings indicate Caddy is taking a different route. Instead of two crossovers, only the compact is on the way, and the larger, three-row CUV on the Lambda platform to sit between the SRX and Escalade may be a goner. According to Ward's Auto, General Motors thinks that the other three-row, Lambda vehicles like the Buick Enclave and GMC Acadia compete too closely with the proposed Cadillac. The decision comes fairly close to the 2017 intended production date.
As far back as 2010, this Lambda-platform based CUV was considered highly likely for production. However, Cadillac Senior Vice President Bob Ferguson was somewhat cooler about it when he discussed the new crossover briefly last year. He said the model could use the Escalade name, despite its unibody chassis, but no decision had been made yet to actually produce it.
