This is a real Survivor, 1965 2 door post Skylark. This car is running and driving and currently licensed. 310 Wildcat engine runs smooth trans shifts good tracks strait down the road and brakes are good. You can roll this off the truck and head to the cruise in. Over all in original unmolested condition. Body is nice with only minor rust, old repaint on passenger door and old repair on r/h wheel arch. paint looks decent and original. interior very nice for the age with only minor fading, headliner also very nice. trunk pan and floors look good. Doors are tight close nice and no sag.Muffler radiator and brake master cyl have been replaced as well as a hoses to make it drivable. What it needs, tires are dry rotted but round and hold air, and turn signal stalk is broken off. but signals work. Carb needs tweeking. Minor exhaust leak at the front might be flange gskt. This wold be an excellent candidate for a quick restoration or a nice GS clone.  I'm glad to show the car by appointment. Video of the car running and driving available by request. GM recalling over 243,000 crossovers over possible seat belt defect

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

2010 Buick Enclave - Click above for high-res image gallery
The summer of 2010's recall hit parade continues unabated today, with General Motors having just announced that it is asking 243,403 owners of its 2009-2010 Lambda crossovers to bring their three-row haulers in for inspection. The culprit? Second-row seat belts in select Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook CUVs have "failed to perform properly in a crash."
According to GM, a second-row seat-side trim piece is to blame, as it can impede the upward rotation of the buckle after the seat is folded flat. As a result, if the buckle makes contact with the seat frame, cosmetic damage can occur, potentially requiring additional force to operate the buckle properly. So far, no great shakes, but in the process of applying that additional force, the occupant may push the buckle cover down to the strap, potentially revealing and depressing the red release button. As a result of this, the belt may not latch, or in certain cases, it may actually appear to be latched when, in fact, it isn't.

Buick might be getting a logo makeover

Fri, 23 Nov 2012

General Motors has finished off an extensive model overhaul for its Buick division, but along with its updated cars, the brand might also be getting a new logo. According to the Detroit Free Press, GM North America President Mark Reuss indicated that the Buick tri-shield logo could be getting a makeover, but offered no further information.
It is unlikely Buick will completely redesign or replace its current logo, but the article seems to indicate that it might return to color; although all chrome now, the logo used to feature red, white and blue shields. Head on over to the Detroit Free Press article to look at some past Buick logos including one from 1904.

Buick Envision spied fully disrobed in China

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

The Buick Envision crossover is supposed to have its big reveal on August 28 and be on display at the Chengdu Motor Show, but apparently the new midsize crossover just can't wait to meet its public. Car News China caught a completely undisguised example parking outside of the convention center where the show is held.
The Buick designers are going right down the middle with the styling with nothing too flashy to turn off potential buyers. Still, it's a handsome CUV that kind of looks like a stretched Encore from some angles with vents along the hood, a large greenhouse and a prominent crease running down the side.
This new midsizer is hitting the Chinese market first and reportedly rides on GM's Delta platform that's also found underneath the Buick Verano. According to Car News China, prices there are between 160,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan ($26,000 - $35,800 at current rates). However, it's also rumored to eventually make its way across the Pacific to give Buick buyers in the US an option between the Encore compact crossover and larger Enclave.
