1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Wagon 4-door 5.7l on 2040-cars
Grass Valley, California, United States
I purchased this car from the original owner (a non smoker) a year and a half ago, on eBay. I bought it because it was low miles, mechanically OK, the right colors and the right price because of cosmetic issues. My plan was to repaint the White, only in those areas needing it, switch Tailgates (one on car has a dent) change out the Carpets and Headliner. And for the fun of it, the rest of my plan was to make it look like an Oldsmobile Wagon... by changing the Wheels, Hubcaps, Grill and Hood Emblem... eBay provided these... the Grill and Four Hubcaps are NOS. I have restored the five Oldsmobile wheels and painted the NOS Hubcaps to match. And you can have these with the purchase of the car. The biggest issue the car had was easily taken care of with a replacement front bumper cover (it was white) from Pic N Pull. Also from there, and included with car is... a really nice Tailgate, L. front Fender (maybe not needed), Rear Bumper cover, Pair of factory rear Resonators and tail pipes (car has funky replacements), and some other small parts. Three of the windows (driver window OK) need new Composite Glides, a common failure... included are these parts new from an eBay seller. The car has scrapes on the right lower of both Doors and Quarter panel, and some out of fit at the bottom of the left front Fender (that's why a replacement Fender)... otherwise a very straight clean car. Interior is still very nice, seats are beautiful and delightfully cozy with no signs of damage, dash is nice, side panels OK, but they have small chip outs at the door Handle area (common to these cars). Carpets need replacing and the Headliner is coming loose along the edges of the Quarter windows. I have quite a bit of time in this project and spent 4.5K. Been a car guy since 1962 when I bought my first car, a 1947 Mercury Woodie, spent most of my adult life restoring Woodies professionally, most have brought there owners immense joy winning top prizes at car shows. I love these Roadmasters like my beloved Woodies... they are the epitome of all wagons, so cool! But I am moving on to other adventures, and simply giving up this hobby, after so many years at it, for other interests. Hopefully someone else will love this car back to its glory and into useful service. I have not Titled this car, it is still in its original owners Alabama Title, I do have a good looking Bill of sale from him to me. and will do same for you. Please call with questions. My cell 530 388 8950... Alan Vivanco

2014 Buick LaCrosse updated with new styling, tech
Mon, 25 Mar 2013Buick might have one of the smallest lineups among major automakers, but by the time the 2014 model rolls around, it will definitely have one of the freshest. Debuting at the New York Auto Show this week, the 2014 Buick LaCrosse receives numerous styling changes inside and out, and it benefits from many of the same new features found on closely related models like the Cadillac XTS and the 2014 Chevrolet Impala.
Exterior changes are relatively minor, but they still help give the car a fresh, new look. The new face of the 2014 LaCrosse fits in with recently new or redesigned Buick models with its oversized waterfall grille, LED-trimmed headlights and the signature hood vents being moved to the side of the hood rather than the top. Similar changes have been made to the rear, like the reshaped LED taillights, the full-width chrome trim and a new fascia design; LaCrosse models equipped with the 3.6-liter V6 will still get the integrated exhaust finishers but they're executed in a more stylish manner than the current model. Finishing off the exterior, new wheel designs are also being introduced, which will include bringing 20-inch wheels to the sedan's option list.
Inside, Buick redesigned almost the entire cabin to create a more luxurious and upscale appearance. The instrument panel is essentially carried over, but pretty much everything else has been redesigned and updated with the biggest change being to the driver's area. Dual eight-inch configurable displays make up the center stack and gauge cluster, while the overall number of buttons have been reduced from 17 down to just seven. The 2014 LaCrosse will also be offered with the next-generation IntelliLink, which receives many of the same enhancements as Chevy's latest version of MyLink adding better customization, improved voice commands and more features including Pandora. Additionally, new door panels, seat and center console complete the LaCrosse's interior redesign.
2015 Buick Verano offered with six-speed manual after all
Mon, 09 Jun 2014Good news, boys and girls (well, at least those of you who still like shifting for yourselves). Buick got in touch with us to correct some information that it had mistakenly announced; namely, that the 2015 Verano will lose its optional six-speed manual transmission. Apparently, that announcement was incorrect, and the compact sedan will indeed continue to offer a manual option for 2015, despite what we're certain is a low take rate. Additionally, the Desert Dusk Metallic paint that was said to come as part of an Appearance Package is no longer part of the deal. With that out of the way, we now return you to your regularly scheduled automotive-obsessive broadcast...
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle vs 1987 Buick GNX in Generation Gap showdown
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Generation Gap generally tries to adhere to a theme for each episode, and for the final video from the Lingenfelter collection, the series might have its best idea yet - limited-production muscle cars from General Motors.
On one side you get a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle COPO, and it's an absolute sleeper. Other than the SS wheels, this classic coupe looks practically bone stock, at least until the engine fires up. Under the hood is a 427-cubic-inch (7.0-liter) V8 making a claimed 425 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. This was the sole year for the COPO package on the Chevelle, and Chevy only made about 323 of them.
The Chevelle's challenger is almost as rare and arguably just as cool. The 1987 Buick Grand National GNX looks just as mean today as when new. It eschews a traditional muscular V8 in favor of a 3.8-liter turbo V6 making a claimed 276 hp and 360 lb-ft, although that number is supposedly a bit underrated. Also, just 547 examples of the GNX version were ever built making it quite a collector's item too.
