Super rare all original 1979 Buick Riviera S-Type TURBO model with only 49K original miles! This is a fantastic collector-owned car in excellent condition. The rare S-Type turbo model has a turbo-charged V-6 engine, unique blacked out chrome trim on rockers and around windows, special sport steering wheel, special blacked out dash features, blacked out grill sections, special exterior badging, and a special bucket seat interior with a sporty center console. This car still sports its original, still-glossy paint (one section of driver's door had some paint touch up years ago (that section could probably stand to be redone for show) and there are minor touch-up paint spots here and there), factory red pinstripes, and all original rare red vinyl bucket seat interior in excellent condition with only minor wear. The car also has optional factory wire wheel covers, original am/fm 8-track stereo (works!) with working power ant.,and working AC. No rust ever on car (except some minor surface areas on lower driver door above rocker strip) and no dents. Car runs and drives great and everything is in working order - the clock even works! Brand new rear shocks and ball joints, tune-up, engine mounts, brakes, and fluids changed. Whitewall radials have only a couple thousand miles on them. Please ask any/all questions before bidding. 2014 Chevy Malibu, Buick LaCrosse recalled over brake mix-up
Thu, 08 May 2014The recall madness over at General Motors isn't letting up anytime soon, as evidenced by this latest call-back of 8,208 Chevrolet Malibu and Buick LaCrosse sedans. For those keeping track, this is the fifth recall that GM has announced in the past two weeks, not to mention the massive ignition-switch issue from earlier this year.
GM issued a statement saying these sedans are being recalled due to "possible reduced braking performance," according to Automotive News. The problem? Rear brake rotors may have accidentally been installed in the front brake assembly. And since both cars use more robust braking systems up front than out back, braking power could be reduced, increasing the risk of a crash.
Automotive News reports that, of the over 8,000 cars being recalled, about 1,700 are currently in the hands of customers, while the others are still in dealer inventory. GM is unaware of any crashes or injuries related to this problem. All of the affected vehicles are from the 2014 model year.

We admit it. We have no earthly idea how this whole thing is going to shake out.
Typically, after driving a new car or truck, we come away prepared to hazard a guess as to whether said model has a good chance of being a sales success. We've amassed enough time watching the industry, scrutinizing the competitors, and so on, to make a reasonably educated bet. Yet here we are, days removed from driving the new 2013 Buick Encore, and we still have no bloody idea.
Buick Riviera Concept hits the floor in Shanghai

The Buick Riviera you see here - the name of which was last used in production back in 1999 - is said to preview Buick's future styling direction, which means we should expect to see more flowing body shapes to go along with new versions of the marque's classic waterfall grille design. Oh, and we don't believe there's a single porthole in sight.
Powered by Buick's so-called dual-mode wireless plug-in hybrid electric vehicle propulsion system (we'll stick with the W-PHEV acronym) that allows the car to be charged wirelessly just by driving atop a special charging mat on the ground, the car's powertrain is just as futuristic as its exterior shape.
Other high-tech bits include holographic projections on the windshield showing the driver what's around him, with input coming from 10 high-res cameras and 18 micro high-precision sensors. The car also sports 4G wireless connectivity so that its occupants are always connected.
