I'm gonna keep it brief, 1987 Buick Regal T-Type. Interior is nice, body is good, underside of car is really nice. I bought this car with broken crankshaft. I gently removed motor last week. Nothing is cut or hacked out. I bought this car with intention of installing a big block chevy and turbo 400. It's the body I was after. The turbo 6 never knocked my socks off anyway. That plan isn't off the drawing board. I should have just bought a plain regal to hack up. So, before I move forward with my plan and alter this car forever, I figured I give someone a shot at owning an (untouched for the most part) T-Type. The only thing missing from car is intercooler fan, and factory radio. The trans I was told, not that means anything had around 50,000 on it. The car around 130,000. The title states 230,000. Screw up by NJDMV. I have car fax report for car, I did this to make sure it wasn't wrecked. The car appears to have had a repaint

If you're looking at the car, you know what you're looking at. This was a running driving car, I never heard it, but it still has good inspection sticker on it. I have nothing to hide and it is what it is. If it doesn't sell, no big deal. I'm not hard up for money. Just trying to give someone opportunity to save it.

I will list more pics  on Sunday.

How to hack a Buick Regal with CarKnow

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

If you own an Apple iPhone or Android device, perhaps you've been tempted to jailbreak or root it. This process gives you access to the the software's code, and can be used to make minor or drastic changes to its operating system. CarKnow, a company in Boston, is working applying a similar concept to the automobile.
Translogic recently took a look inside CarKnow to see just how it can tweak the computers inside a car and what sort of things can be done. As our transportation tech sister site explains, CarKnow basically created a digital duplicate of their Buick Regal in the cloud, while harvesting data generated to create custom apps and infiltrate the deepest function of their test car.
And before you freak out about people maliciously taking over your car, CarKnow's founder, Josh Siegel, stresses that it isn't quite so easy as driving up alongside someone. Take a look at the full video below to see just what it's like to jailbreak a car.

GM announces six new recalls, covering 3.5 million vehicles

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

General Motors has just initiated another crushingly large recall, this time affecting some 3.36 million vehicles built between 2000 and 2014 and sold in the US, Canada and Mexico. Once again, the issue surrounds the cars' ignition switches, which can be kicked out of the run position if they're carrying extra weight or if they experience a "jarring" event. In this particular case, though, GM will modify the keys, rather than the ignition itself.
A four-by-six-millimeter hole will be drilled into the key, which will more safely accommodate the weight of the key ring. As is usually the case, the work will be done free of charge. The recalled vehicles include the 2000 to 2005 Cadillac Deville, 2004 to 2005 Buick Regal LS and GS, 2004 to 2011 Cadillac DTS, 2005 to 2009 Buick Lacrosse, 2006 to 2008 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, 2006 to 2011 Buick Lucerne and 2006 to 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Only the Impala is still in production, and even then, it's only sold to fleet companies.
According to an official statement from GM, there have been eight crashes and six injuries due to this latest issue. As if this isn't a dire enough blow for GM, the company has announced five smaller recalls, covering 165,000 vehicles.

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
