For sale is a 1984 Buick Regal T-type. This is a great solid body, the only rust I see is a little in the passenger front floorboard, maybe from a heater core leak at one time? The fenders, doors quarters are all solid as well as frame. We were building this as a drag car/street machine, but too many projects going on... We started by replacing some suspension tie rods, sleeves, etc... a new brake booster/master. The car has had alot stripped down to remove weight for drag racing. Someone stole the hood, so its not included. There is a rear seat but no front seats. This is a t-type/grand national body, so it has the sought after rear end. It does have the wiring harness and front bumper. Its a great project and has a clear title. Vehicle is sold as-is where is, no warranties expressed or implied. 38k GM eAssist hybrids recalled for circuit board, fire risk
Mon, 06 May 2013General Motors has issued a recall covering 38,197 2012 and 2013 model-year Chevy Malibu Eco, Buick LaCrosse and Regal sedans equipped with eAssist, and sold in the United States. The automaker will check the generator control module for proper operation. Only vehicles built before December 2012 are being recalled.
According to the automaker, a malfunctioning generator control module could slowly drain the battery, causing an indicator to light up in the dash. If that indicator is ignored, the driver may experience a stalling engine, and in some cases, "a burning or melting odor, smoke, and, in rare instances, a fire in the trunk."
GM says the issue is not with the eAssist battery pack; the smoke and fire comes from overheating of the control board. One trunk fire has been reported, but no injuries are known. Scroll down below for the official press release from GM.
GM recalls 500K Chevy Camaros for ignition-switch defect
Fri, 13 Jun 2014General Motors issued a recall for more than a half million Chevrolet Camaros on Friday morning because of an ignition-switch safety hazard that mirrors the one at the center of the company's current crisis.
The problem affects Camaro models from the 2010 to 2014 model years. Approximately 464,712 cars are impacted in the United States, and 511,528 overall in North America. GM will alter the Camaro key to a more standard design, and will notify car owners with a recall notice in the mail.
In an announcement, the company said the ignition switches on the Camaros are fundamentally different parts than the older ignition switches found on defective cars that are responsible for killing at least 13 people and causing 54 crashes.
