For your consideration is a beautiful 1989 Buick Reatta with only 59,000 miles! This is a very rare, cool, unique, and completely stock car.

The interior is just about perfect and looks great, just look at the pictures. The headliner was replaced less than a year ago so that looks great as well. The center console has a small blemish as seen in the pictures. The tear does not go through the leather so there is no stuffing or anything coming from it. All in all it's really not that noticeable and can easily be repaired or replaced.

The Exterior has a few very tiny marks here and there but overall it looks REALLY REALLY nice! This Reatta has the sunroof option. This is a very nice option that not many Reattas have. The car has never been painted and the original paint still shines beautifully as seen in the pictures. Both the front and rear bumpers still shine wonderfully just like new!

The right headlight works but it must be manually lifted up. A new motor can be purchased to fix this easily and inexpensively. The touchscreen computer is 100% functional and very cool. Also, unlike touchscreen technology today, you can actually use it with gloves on. The heat works well, but the AC says it is low on refrigerant. I cannot guarantee this is all that it needs as I have never bothered to try and fix it, but that is what the computer says when the AC is turned on. Finally, all power options work perfectly! - power seats, power windows, power locks, cruiser control, power sunroof, and power mirrors - they all work great! This car has more power options than most cars do today.

This is a beautiful, sporty, and reliable car. Only around 20,000 of these were ever manufactured, simply put there are not many 59,000 mile all original Buick Reattas like this left today. So don't miss your chance to pick up this American Classic at a very affordable Price! I take A LOT of pride in the condition of my vehicles, you will not be disappointed!

Please contact Colton at 630-800-5143 with any questions or to set up an appointment to see the car. I will respond to emails, calls, or texts. - Thanks for looking!

General Motors shaking up its marketing... again

Wed, 13 Mar 2013

One of the things that dogs the full comeback of General Motors is the instability of its marketing. That part of the automaker got yet another big shakeup today when GM confirmed what I have been tweeting for a few days - strong rumors that the Chevrolet and Cadillac ad accounts are walking to new ad agencies.
Cadillac, GM's luxury brand, is going into review from Fallon Worldwide, Minneapolis and the indications are that Campbell-Ewald, Chevy's old ad shop, will end up with most or all of it. C-E just announced that it was moving from its long-time home in Warren, MI to a new downtown Detroit office next to Ford Field, just blocks from GM.
The other shoe to drop shortly will be the shift of GM's most important brand, Chevy, from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners of San Francisco to McCann-Erickson of Troy, MI. McCann used to be the agency for Buick and GMC, as well as GM's corporate advertising, and has retained some pieces of business over the last few years. Sources have even told us that it was McCann that did a lot of the creative work on Chevy's new ad platform, Find New Roads. (Not to be confused with a former McCann tagline for Saab, "Find Your Own Road.")

Lutz dishes dirt on GM in latest Autoline Detroit

Bob Lutz sits down for Autoline Detroit - Click above to watch video after the jump
Autoline Detroit recently played host to Bob Lutz, and, as is always the case, the former General Motors vice chairman dished out some great commentary. Lutz was promoting his new book Car Guys vs. Bean Counters: The Battle for the Soul of American Business, and talk quickly turned to his role as it related to product development and high-level decision making at GM. While on the topic of brand management, Lutz revealed a few rather interesting tidbits about his former employer:
All Chevrolet vehicles were required to have five-spoke aluminum wheels and a chrome band up front, as part of the Bowtie brand's overall image.

GM China President says automaker could export vehicles from China to US

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

At a press conference on Saturday at the Shanghai Motor Show, General Motors announced plans to further expand its presence in the Chinese market. Among those commitments are plans to build four new plants by the end of 2015, giving the automaker the capacity to produce around five million vehicles a year in the country.
In order to make the most of that expansion, GM is adding 400 dealerships in China this year alone (for a total of 4,200 sales points), and it's eyeing 5,100 dealers by 2015. Yet not all of that production will stay in China - GM is planning to increase exports as well. Officials estimate the company will export somewhere between 100,000 and 130,000 Chinese-built vehicles this year - a record. And it's gunning for more.
Autoblog asked GM China president Bob Socia (above) if that means the company might eventually export new vehicles built in China to the United States, and he responded:
