I have for sale a 2010 Buick Lucerne.  The car belonged to my father and when he passed it went to my mother, and since she no longer needs it, it is now mine.  I was bought new in Chambersburg Pa.  It has been serviced at the Chevy Buick dealer up there and has had all scheduled maintenance done.  It is in excellent condition, and from my point of view is new.  It only has 15,500 miles on the odometer.  It will increase a little as I am still driving it.  Car drives nice and smooth and stops and starts as it should.  This is a NO RESERVE Auction.  The only thing I need to mention is one of the TPMS sensors is bad, and will need to be replaced.  It is the passenger side rear wheel.  Other then that everything is excellent, no dents, no rust as I said, car looks new.  It has the transmission shifter on the column so you have more room in the front seat.  If you have less then 10 feedback, please contact me before bidding, as I have had too many people flaking out on me lately.  I will cancel you bid if you have less then 10 feedback and do not contact me.  If you have any questions please contact me, I expect 500 dollar deposit within 24 hours of auction close, and then the rest before the vehicle leaves my house.  I will accept cash as payment, and I will accept paypal for the deposit.  I will not ship the vehicle, you can either have your shipper pick it up at my house, or you can come and get it from my house.  I will help you in getting the vehicle however I can, but I will not be shipping it.  Again, if you are local and want to look at it, please let me know and we can arrange something.  AGAIN.. ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK...

On Jul-09-13 at 13:07:27 PDT, seller added the following information:

It has a heading of CXL Special Edition.  I do not know if it is the actual Special Edition or not, it has all the features that the special edition has The Comfort and Convenience Package, which is standard on the CXL and Super, is available on the CX and brings heated outside mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, a garage door opener, cargo net and power passenger seat.  The Luxury Package, standard on the CXL Special Edition and Super and available on the CXL, brings heated power front seats with lumbar adjustment and memory, a heated leather steering wheel, and more.  It has all these features so I am not sure of the Special Edition or not.  It is badged on the car as a CXL.  Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.  This is still a good deal on this car.  KBB on this car is 19,365.

GM laying off 510 amidst slow Cadillac, small car sales

Wed, 12 Nov 2014

General Motors is laying off about 510 workers from two factories beginning in January, and it could be months before the automaker needs some of that latent capacity to come back on line. A combination of poor sales and high dealer inventories are prompting the cutbacks, according to Automotive News.
The largest changes come at GM's Lansing Grand River plant, where the Cadillac ATS and CTS are made. An entire shift of about 350 workers is being laid off, but the automaker hopes to find positions for some of them at other nearby factories. The decision leaves just a single shift building vehicles there. According to Automotive News, the move is partially spurred by Johan de Nysschen's plan to make Cadillac a more exclusive brand.
The lost shift will likely return for production of the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro at the plant, according to the report, but GM isn't saying when that will be. A previous announcement from the Canadian Auto Workers union indicated that the Oshawa, Ontario, factory would lose the coupe in late 2015 or early 2016.

Buick shows US dealers 2016 Cascada convertible

Wed, 20 Aug 2014

The affordable four-seat convertible has become a largely forgotten genre in the States, especially with the death of the Chrysler 200 Convertible. Of course, there are still premium options from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz - not to mention more overtly performance-oriented droptop pony cars from Chevrolet and Ford - but if you want an affordable cruiser, you're kind of out of luck. That may be about to change, however, with renewed rumors of the Opel Cascada (pictured above) making it across the Atlantic wearing a Buick badge.
According to GM Inside News, Buick showed off the Cascada to US dealers last week, with renewed word that the company plans to bring it over from Europe for the 2016 model year. The US version will reportedly be practically identical to its German cousin in terms of styling, but the powertrain underneath is less certain. According to GMI, it may use the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is available in Europe with either 168 horsepower or 197 hp.
The Cascada rides on GM's Delta II platform, which also underpins the Verano, and the latest rumor certainly provides even more evidence that the convertible is probably on the way. Speculation about the droptop started when GM CEO Dan Akerson said last year that the car was on his wish list to bring over. Then, the US trademark on the name was reserved earlier this year, and the release was speculated for sometime in early 2016.

A Nice, New Buick Aims For Middle Of The Road
Any time someone describes some portion of a car or a driving experience as being "nice," I want to either A) throttle them or B) run as fast and as far as I can from that vehicle. "Nice" is among the most insidious words in the English language - at best it's vague, and at worst, it conveys the exact opposite of its literal meaning. Yet it seems to be used with damnable frequency when it comes to verbally illustrating vehicles. "It looks really nice," or "These seats feel nice," or, heaven forefend, "It's got a nice ride," are all windy signifiers of absolutely nothing resembling a concrete opinion. "Nice" is the adjectival equivalent of meekly smiling and nodding your head.
Of course, I'm as guilty as the next person of having thrown English's least powerful descriptor around. There's even a chance that, rant aside, you'll catch me making nice in reviews to come. That's fine, but you should know that when you stumble upon such usage, past or future, that you've found a sentence in which I'm simply applying a bare minimum of effort to the task.
