Here is a 1984 Buick LeSabre Limited, 87, 641 miles and in very good condition.  It has had one owner, myself, and it has always been garaged.

The exterior is silver and the interior seats and details are blue velour-velvet with burled walnut effect on dashboard and other details.

The exterior finish is intact though not shiny, and has a few flaws, particularly in the rear left side, as can be seen in the photos.  The interior is in very good condition.  The upholstery is complete and clean:  it is a beautiful color blue, not faded, the the velour has a rich velvety feeling.  The burled walnut effect on the dashboard and doors is rich looking.  The car has beautiful lines, and an elegant interior.

The car's air conditioner, radio, cassette player, and clock all work well.  The driver's seat is set to a medium position but the seat position adjuster is not working -- this is the only thing in the whole car I know not to be working -- it runs well and everything else is really good.

The car comes with two copies of the 1984 User's Manual which are in the glove compartment.  The four original blue floor mats are in place.  The trunk is large and clean.

The car's four tires are all in good condition, and the spare in the trunk has not been used.

The car is to be picked up in Suffolk County, Long Island, NY.

Please email me with any questions.  Thank you.

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars

Wed, 23 Jul 2014

General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.

Next Buick Regal to inherit styling cues from Opel Monza concept

Mon, 06 Oct 2014

Ever look at a concept car from a foreign auto marque like Opel and wonder what relevance it will have to you as an American consumer? Well, we'll tell you: at least as far as the Opel Monza concept goes, it could mean a lot.
Speaking with Automotive News at the Paris Motor Show, Opel chief Karl-Thomas Neumann said, "You will see the Monza when you see the next Insignia." And the Insignia, we needn't point out, is essentially ported over to American showrooms as the Buick Regal.
The relationship between the Regal and Insignia only stands to grow closer as Opel design chief Mark Adams has also been charged with tightening the bonds between the two automakers positioned on opposite shores of the Atlantic. Adams also intends to imbue the next Insignia with more "premium brand values" in order to "add polish to the brand." Which in turn means that the Regal will be designed to look more upscale, too.

Small number of 2013 Buick Encore models recalled for loose steering wheel

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

General Motors has issued a recall and a stop sale for the 2013 Buick Encore due to an issue that could result in the steering wheel falling off on certain models. In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, GM says that 144 Encores equipped with heated steering wheels could have been incorrectly retrofitted due to a parts shortage.
Needless to say, a loose or separated steering wheel would likely cause an accident if it happened while the vehicle was in motion. The recall doesn't go into effect until April 12, but concerned Encore owners can use the official recall notice (attached below) to contact GM.
