This exceptional 2008 Bentley GTC Convertible has approximately 16,100 miles since new. The car has had only one owner since new in the Palm Beach Florida area.Some options that were ordered by the owner include: 20" wheels, wood veneer inserts on the doors, a two tone leather interior, lifetime satellite radio, and a built in trifle charger in the trunk just to name a few.This car was used during the winter months at the owner's florida residence and was obviously garage kept at all times. Since new, it has been professionally serviced and meticulously maintained by Braman Bentley of West Palm Beach. (I can provide you with the phone number of the service manager at the dealership who can vouch for the car's impeccable condition and maintenance) Just recently, the car had over $3,000 worth of maintenance including a new battery. Unfortunately in 2013, the car was involved in an accident in which the front left side of the car was hit. Only new factory parts were used to repair the damage. I can provide potential buyers with a copy of the invoice from Fantastic Finishes of Palm Beach where all the repair work was accomplished at a cost of over $75,000 in parts and labor. At this time any other imperfections in the finish were repaired so that the car's appearance is now flawless.Also not long after that a brand new convertible top was installed. Baby Bentley studied for 2020, but it might not be cheaper
Sun, 09 Mar 2014Bentley may step down a segment with a new, smaller luxury car that it hopes to have ready by 2019. The British luxury marque's fifth model line, assuming that its SUV ever makes it to market, though, is still in the earliest planning stages.
Kevin Rose, Bentley's head of sales and marketing, spoke with Autocar at the Geneva Motor Show about the proposed new vehicle. "At the moment, our line of thinking is for a smaller car. But smaller doesn't necessarily mean cheaper," he said. The brand believes the price floor of its models should be 100,000 pounds ($167,240).
The smaller Flying B isn't the only project being worked on. Rose hinted that it is considering an even more expensive model above the Mulsanne priced at around 300,000 pounds ($501,735) that would compete with the Rolls-Royce Phantom. "The twin pillars of the Bentley brand are performance and luxuriousness. Any car that offers something unique, with both of those bases well covered, is on the table," he said.
Bentley unveils the Grand Convertible, a droptop Mulsanne Speed
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Five years ago, when Bentley was preparing its farewell shindig for the Arnage, reports were that the Arnage's coupe and convertible siblings, the Brooklands and Azure, would get replacements on the Mulsanne platform. Obviously, that hasn't happened, although we were teased with the Mulsanne Vision Concept in 2012. Then, just this summer, we were again teased with rumors of a Brooklands and Azure one-two punch. While it still hasn't happened yet, Bentley's unveiling of the Grand Convertible seems to have put things in gear.
Not 'merely' a roofless Mulsanne, the Grand Convertible appears to be a droptop Mulsanne Speed, powered by a 6.75-liter engine with 530 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque, and fitted with the directional wheels only available on the Mulsanne Speed. Finished outside in Sequin Blue with a "liquid metal" hood and windshield frame and a burl walnut veneer on the tonneau cover - a similar combo used to introduce the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé eight years ago - the cabin is covered in Beluga leather with blue cross-stitching.
Company CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer says Bentley is watching customer reaction to the car, yet the press release says it's been "Developed to signify Bentley's intentions for the future." That sounds like better than even odds we'll be seeing this on the roads.
