2009 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Sedan 4-door 6.0l on 2040-cars
Frankfort, Illinois, United States
Well I am not sure what can said about this car. It has every option you would want in a Bentley offered in 2009. Vehicle was shipped over to US on Sept 22nd 2008 to Bentley dealer in Boston, through the Davisville, RI port. One owner previously bought this gorgeous vehicle with 35 miles and enjoyed every minute till it reached 23,382 mi on the dash. At that point the car was sold to a premium Bentley dealer in Chicago IL, who presented me with this Luxury ride. One test drive was all it took to know it was something that had to be driven on the open road on a beautiful sunny day! So I did and have loved everything this car brings to the table. Whether its a night on the town, a drive through the country, or taking that A+ client to a steak dinner. This Flying Spur impresses at every turn with the ultimate performance of Bentley that is superior to the rest of the industry. This luxury should be shared with all and especially YOU!
I am not a dealer and have no markup to cover costs. Price is fair market value. Please contact for further details. Shipping or pickup of the car to be arranged and paid for by buyer. Payment of sale to be discussed if offer is valid. |

40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
2015 Bentley Mulsanne Speed
Tue, 18 Nov 2014Why does the Bentley Mulsanne Speed exist? Sam Graham, product line director for the Mulsanne, tells us Bentley's Western customers demanded it, many driven by memories of the Arnage T - the hotted-up version of the Arnage R. The Arnage T, you may remember, arrived in 2002 and threw down 459 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque on its way to being billed the most powerful production Bentley ever. Today's Mulsanne Speed picks up the torch and takes it all the way to the Olympic stadium.
Driving Notes
It starts with an upgrade to 530 hp at 4,200 rpm and 811 lb-ft of torque at a limbo-esque 1,750 rpm. That's an additional 25 hp and 86 lb-ft compared to the standard sedan, enabling a top speed of 190 miles per hour. That torque figure makes it second only to the Bugatti Veyron among production cars, and that terminal velocity makes it the fastest ultra-luxury sedan on God's Own Green.
Bentley designing SUV to reach 200 mph?
Mon, 24 Mar 2014The 200 MPH Club was once populated entirely by exotic sports cars. These days it has expanded to include convertibles, sedans and even station wagons. But an SUV? Unthinkable, what with their aerodynamic profile approaching that of a barn door. Bentley, however, is out to change that with its forthcoming new sport ute.
Not only is the British automaker aiming to make its first SUV fully capable off road, it's also engineering it to be one of the fastest on the road as well. According to emerging reports coming in from the UK, Bentley is streamlining the SUV's shape with a lower roofline and reprofiled rear end and fitting it with advanced underbody aerodynamic aids in order to compensate for its over-six-foot width and get it up to the magic 200-mph mark.
Reaching out to Bentley for comment, its communications office wouldn't divulge such performance targets: "The SUV is in the engineering development stage, so unfortunately it's too soon to discuss performance figures," we were told via email. "It will of course have all the power and performance that one would expect from a Bentley!" If the information proves correct, however, at that speed, it would be able to keep pace with the faster members of the Continental family, but leave the Mulsanne flagship sedan (which is already approaching the size of an SUV) and its 185-mph top speed in the dust - not to mention the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S that is quoted at "only" 175 mph.
