over 28,200 miles since purchased new. It sports a great running 6.75 liter [412 cubic inch] turbocharged aluminum
V8 engine with water-cooled inter-cooler and ZYTEK EMS 3 computer-controlled engine management system. The ensuing
results is 400-horsepower and a whopping 553 foot-pounds of torque enabling this 5400 pound motor car to hit 60
miles per hour in about 6 seconds and continuing on to its limited top speed of 150 miles per hour! It almost goes
without saying that the car is loaded with amenities that include an electronically controlled tilt steering column

THE BODY AND TRIM
The exterior of this 1996 Pinanfarina-designed Azure is in excellent to mint 99.9% rust-free condition overall with
a gleaming overall metallic paint finish. There are a few minor cosmetic imperfections one would expect from a 20+
year-old low-mileage car that include rock nicks/chips and other light blemishes. There is some orange peel on the
paint surface of the rear emblem strip.
THE INTERIOR
As I hope is articulated in the photos here, the interior of this non-smoker Bentley is in excellent , near-new
condition overall with nearly all systems in excellent working order with COLD a/c, buttery soft leather and more.
One or more of the electric controls on the passenger seat are currently inop. It did not get any more luxurious
than this in 1996!
THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE
This 1996 Bentley starts right up with excellent running engine producing 747-like torque, buttery smooth shifting
transmission, solid braking, precise steering, excellent highway tracking and ultra quiet and smooth suspension.
Driving this car topless on a warm sunny day is truly a MOTORING EVENT!

Bentley forging ahead with SUV development
Wed, 06 Aug 2014Bentley has a whole mess of new models in the pipeline, including a completely new coupe, two-door and high-performance versions of the Mulsanne and an even more hard-core version of the Continental GT3-R. But the most vital product under development at Crewe is its upcoming new SUV, and that's what our spy photographers have caught undergoing testing.
This prototype appears to be the same one we spotted a couple of months ago, although this time the NewBentley.com stickers appear to have been taped over (presumably to call less attention to itself) and the whole thing is riding lower to the ground to better test its brakes and cooling systems.
While the form clearly shares much with the EXP 9 F concept that previewed its development at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, the design has clearly been worked over with a front end and tailgate that are easier on the eyes and more in keeping with the company's styling language.
40+ cars that barely avoid the gas guzzler tax
Thu, 24 Jul 2014
The Gas Guzzler schedule, with mpg ratings and charges that haven't changed since 1991, lays out which fuel-swillers owe what to Uncle Sam.
I started thinking about the "Gas Guzzler Tax" - considerably less well known as The Energy Tax Act of 1978 - when I was driving Dodge's new Challenger SRT Hellcat last week. Unsurprisingly for a car that can burn 1.5 gallons of gas per minute at max tilt, theoretically able to empty a full tank of premium in about 13 minutes, the Hellcat will be subject to the Gas Guzzler Tax schedule when it goes on sale.
Bentley considering smaller coupe
Mon, 21 Jul 2014Only halfway through the year, Bentley reports that it's on track to post record sales. Thanks in no small part to the introduction of its new V8 engine in the Continental family, sales are up nearly a quarter over last year. And they only stand to increase even more with the introduction of new models currently in the pipeline. The upcoming SUV will surely form a large part of that, but it won't be the end of the story for the storied marque.
Car and Driver reports that, after the SUV, Bentley plans to introduce a new coupe line below the Continental to square off against the Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Details are few and far between at this point, but considering how much Bentley manages to do with the relatively heft Continental GT, a lighter and more nimble sports car sounds promising.
In related news, rumors are gathering pace that Bentley is planning to introduce a new Mulsanne Speed at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, its Jurassic-era 6.75-liter V8 massaged from 505 horsepower - already the most that engine has produced in its half-century history - up to around 550.
