Very nice rare find. 97 bmw z3 with super low miles. Bought from an elderly gentleman that had owned it since 99. Been stored since 2004. He purchased the car to play around with in the summer. He moved and put the car in storage. It's been inside ever since. Beautiful green exterior with classy tan leather. Has the 2.8 6cly and this car runs super smooth. Transmission shifts like a dream. The z3 needs a good cleaning. I would also recommend new tires. Fronts are pretty good, just old. Rear tires are wore on the inside. Other than the check engine light and the airbag light on it needs very little. As far as the warning lights, I have read that it's common in these cars. The battery had been dead for years. The closest bmw dealer is around 50 miles and I have not had time to have them turned off. Please bid accordingly.... Must sell and can't keep, although if would love to. 2015 BMW M3 squares off against Alpina D3 in gas vs. diesel throwdown
Sat, 26 Jul 2014There was a time when diesel meant one of two things: This vehicle's owner either wants to save some money at the pump or needs to haul massive loads. It definitely did not mean that the owner of said machine wanted to drive fast, but that perception has slowly but surely been changing over the last several years, with automakers from Volkswagen and Ford to Audi and BMW offering spiced-up versions of their high-compression, turbocharged diesels.
It's that last automaker we mentioned that's the subject of the video you'll see down below. One bright-blue BMW M3 was procured by the Brits at Autocar, and it was lined up against a deep-black Alpina D3 (which we sadly can't buy in the US) in a spate of tests, including acceleration, stopping, sound and lap times on a closed circuit. The results, which we won't spoil for you, were enlightening, and were followed up by personal impressions from the man behind the wheel.

Next-gen Mini could sire 10 different models including PHEV

It wasn't until the second-generation platform came along that Mini began truly expanding, offering a long-wheelbase model, a roadster, a coupe, a five-door crossover, and a three-door, um, thing?
BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform.
According to an interview between Automotive News Europe and the BMW board member that oversees Mini, Peter Schwarzenbauer, the funky British brand will be expanding far beyond the seven body styles it currently offers. "With the new ULK architecture, we currently have in mind eight to 10 models," Schwarzenbauer told ANE. That architecture he mentions, will also underpin the BMW 1 Series GT and the BMW X1, meaning that BMW is aiming for 10 to 12 different vehicles from just two brands off one platform (and that's only what we know about).
