You are looking at the BMW made in Germany, (only few years they made these over there for US you can tell by the VIN first letters). I am second owner and I absolutely enjoyed owning this car every second. I am buying same car just newer. I know I will miss stopping power of manual transmission as they did not produce manual transmission after 2002 for US market. I had installed 2.5” hitch for bike rack, it could be also used for towing your boat or whatever you have. This car is in very good condition because it was maintained properly. It is smoke free car as I am not a smoker and person I purchased it from was not either. Car has no functional problems, except fuel gauge sometimes showing incorrectly. Inspection was done earlier this month. This car was always maintained by experienced mechanic who is BMW owner and enthusiast for many years. Car has few small chips on the hood from driving on highway. (If you would like to see the details I can take better photos.) Tires thread are at 70-80%. If you need more information, let me know and I will be happy to answer it for you.

As soon as I posted, I see report showing discrepancy with the Title Odometer reading.
First and most important, car has original miles as you can see in the detailed report. ( you can also bring it to the dealer if you want to make sure, they can inspect the seals and probably even tell by the software logs).
The reason for this error is when I was purchasing the car from the lady, she signed the title and there is little check box right below it and some non-sense text next to it. She even asked me if that needs to be checked, and I had no idea, so she checked it just in case it's needed. Well, it turned out that box needs to be checked if there is any discrepancy with the odometer on the car. I am guaranteeing you that there is no any discrepancy. When I needed to register the car I could of corrected it if I had written consent from the previous owner, but she moved to Singapore that week, (that was the reason she was selling the car, whole family moved there because her husband got the job over there).

If you have any doubts, please come and take it to your mechanic or any BMW dealer.
Also that 100% feedback in my profile speak for itself.

I am willing to negotiate some, so please make me an offer.

Thank you for your time

BMW-Toyota partnership to spawn hybrid supercar

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

BMW and Toyota inked a partnership some time ago to develop green technology, and while we were excited by the idea of a reborn Supra with BMW's carbon fiber reinforced plastic slashing the curb weight or an ultra-efficient, hybridized 1 Series, the joint efforts have been rather limited. That's set to change, though, according to a report from Australia.
Motoring reports that the partners have come to terms on a sports car. And not just any sports car, but a lightweight, hybridized model, with a six-figure price tag. Lending a bit of street cred to that idea is the site's claim that Toyota is currently carrying out durability testing on the BMW i8. According to the site, the new model will slot into the spot left by the Lexus LFA, although based on the language used, it's unclear if this is the Tokyo-bound vehicle we mentioned several months ago.
Details on this potential car are limited, although Motoring claims it will use a Toyota hybrid system mated up to a BMW gas engine - likely the 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 found in the M5 and M6. That sounds pretty amazing to us, but we'd still advise taking this with a grain of salt. What would you like to see out of a joint-venture supercar from Toyota and BMW? Let us know in Comments, and have your say on the prospects of a hybridized, twin-turbocharged V8.

BMW unleashes 160-hp S 1000 R streetfighter motorcycle

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
In its transformation from 193-horsepower superbike to 160-hp sportbike, BMW detuned the 999cc inline four-cylinder engine a bit by lowering the redline from 13,000 RPM to 11,000 RPM, where peak power is made. Torque is rated at "approximately" 83 pound-feet (the RR makes 82.5 lb-ft), but more importantly, engineers tweaked the torque delivery in the R's favor by redesigning the cylinder-head ducts, modifying the camshaft profiles and reprogramming the engine management system. The result is seven lb-ft more torque than the RR up to 7,500 RPM. The R's torque peak occurs at 9,250 RPM.
The bike comes standard with ASC (automatic stability control) and "Race" ABS. Riders can choose between two modes, "Road" and "Rain," which adjust ABS and ASC settings to suit dry or wet roads. DTC (dynamic traction control) is available as an option, and with two modes, "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro," the system optimizes traction and helps riders achieve maximum acceleration.

BMW, Ferrari, VW cars use tungsten mined by terrorists

Thu, 08 Aug 2013

Bloomberg Markets is reporting that BMW, Volkswagen and Ferrari have been using tungsten ore sourced from Columbia's FARC rebel terrorists. The extensive story focuses on Columbia's illegal mining trade and calls into question the provenance of the rare ore that is used not only in crankshaft parts production, but is also found in the world's computing and telecommunications industry for use in screens.
The ore is mined by the FARC (Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia, or Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army), and exported to Pennsylvania, where it is refined. The refined ore is then sent over to Austria, where a company called Plansee turns it into a finished product. Now, it's important to note that we aren't talking about the world's supply of tungsten here. In 2012, Plansee's American refinery purchased 93.2 metric tons of tungsten, valued at $1.8 million. That's peanuts, with the entire Colombian tungsten mining industry producing just one percent of the world's supplies.
That doesn't make indirectly supporting FARC any more acceptable, though. BMW, VW and Ferrari are all committed to not accepting mineral supplies from the Democratic Republic of Congo, which is also in the grips of a guerrilla insurrection funded, in part, by illegal mining. The same commitment would figure to extend to Colombian mining, but as BMW points out, it's difficult for a multi-national manufacturer to know where every item in its supply chain comes from. A company spokesperson says as much, telling Bloomberg, "These few grams out of the billions of tons of raw materials passing through the BMW supply chain are of no practical relevance."
