Up for sale is our 2006 BMW X3 with M-Sport and premium package with 141k This vehicle has given excellent service and is a ton of fun to drive. The car has been serviced regularly and runs and drives very well. Interior: The interior is in very good condition showing very little wear. There are no stains or tears in the carpet or seating. The dash is in great shape as are all of the windows. All of the interior options are in proper working order. This is a non-smokers vehicle. Exterior: The exterior of the car shows well. We keep it waxed regularly; there are no scratches or dings. The wheels have no curb rash. It has a clean Carfax with no accident history or paintwork. Mechanical: At 137k we had the vehicle inspected and serviced at a BMW certified mechanic. The mechanic looked over every system and found everything in good order. The cabin and regular air filters were changed at that time. New Perelli tires were put on at 132k. The car runs and drives very well. It accelerates very well, and stops straight when the brakes are applied. Both the heat and air work very well. We have all the service records for the vehicle while it has been in our ownership. BMW X4 order guide sneaks onto the web
Thu, 03 Apr 2014Much like we gave you an early look at the ordering guide for the BMW M3 and M4 (you can now configure those two, as well), yet another list of BMW options has leaked out. This time, the upcoming X4 is the target. We told you last month that prices for the X3-sized, X6-shaped vehicle started at $45,625, and now, we can confirm everything else for the newest Bimmer.
Only two trim lines will be available when the X4 arrives - M Sport and xLine. The former starts at $2,300 for the xDrive28i model and $1,900 for the xDrive35i, and includes as standard, 19-inch wheels (or optional 20s for $950), sport seats, an M steering wheel, a more aggressive body kit, a black headliner and the option of brushed aluminum interior trim. The xLine is $1,500 for the 28i and $1,000 for the 35i, and is made up exclusively of 19-inch Y-spoke wheels and dark copper interior trim.
Metallic colors dominate the pallet, with just a pair of gloss options available alongside the $550 metal-flake colors. BMW offers a pair of SensaTec leatherette options, along side a wide variety of $1,450 leather trims.
BMW M6 amped up for track duty by Risden
Sat, 22 Dec 2012Risden Engineering is a bit of an unknown, if we're being completely honest - we have yet to report on the company to date, and its corporate website is really an information desert save for the name and a few email addresses. Even the press release that we requested from Risden's contact person is short and vague. That's all pretty much okay with us as long as the shadowy tuners, you know, make good on this sweet-looking BMW M6 racecar thing.
Dubbed the Risden 6R, we're told that the M6 modification will result in a vehicle that is more adept at track work, while still being street-legal. In terms of specifics, we read that a full aero kit will be involved, with one fixed and one retractable rear wing (hard to miss). There are obviously new wheels, and the company has also added a fully adjustable suspension, a four-point roll bar and a new braking system - all while reducing curb weight overall.
Apparently more details are to follow after the 6R's official release in the first quarter of 2013. We wait with bated breath.
2016 X6 M brings the power at LA show
Wed, 19 Nov 2014BMW tore the cover off the second generation 2016 X6 M Wednesday at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
BMW tuned the 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 to push out 567 horsepower, up from the last model's 555 hp. Torque also leaps to 553 pound feet, compared with the previous output of 500 lb-ft. The V8 is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, which swaps in for the old six-speed. This potent powertrain allows the crossover to hit 60 miles per hour in about four seconds.
The X6, which features slightly more dramatic styling and an angled rear roofline, debuted alongside the more conventionally styled 2016 BMW X5 M at the LA show.
