A sad day that I never thought would come.  I have loved my 2012 BMW M3 Coupe since the day I got it on May 23, 2012.  If you're looking at this auction, then you do not need an introduction to this car.  The last naturally-aspirated engine, let alone a V8 engine, in the M3 line-up.  A guaranteed future classic and value will increase as time goes on.  A true enthusiasts example with the 6-Speed Manual Transmission!

I am a BMW employee and a BMW CCA member.  This car is adult driven, never tracked or raced and garage kept while always being dealer maintained.  No accidents, paint work, or stories.  Clean CarFax and Clean Title.

Dressed in the official color of BMW Motorsports, Alpine White.  Fox Red Novillo leather, which is treated with leather conditioner weekly.  Equipped with the ZCP Competition Package, Premium Package and Heated Seats.  The Silver ZCP 19" M359 Wheels are brand new and were taken off the day of delivery.  You will get them included with the car.  On the car now are the Matte Black ZCP 19" M359 Wheels by AG.  Other tasteful enhancements include a Dinan D900-40M Peformance Engine Tune (9 hp @ 6000 rpm and 8 lb-ft @ 6000 RPM), custom axleback exhaust, carbon fibre front splitter, carbon fibre trunk spoiler, black kidney grilles, black side markers, black hood vents, and MTec halo angel eyes.  Car still has factory warranty and free maintenance until 5/23/16 or 50,000-Miles.  Tires were just replaced less than 900 miles ago with Bridgestone Potenza S04 Max Summer Tires.

Feel free to make me an offer, but please do not waste your time or mine by low-balling.  Please let me know if you have any questions on the car as I will be happy to answer anything that is on your mind in regards to the vehicle itself.  Local pick-up preferred but I will be happy to help arrange shipping at buyer's expense.  Deposit due within 24-hours of closing.  I will only accept certified bank check or wire transfer and funds must clear before taking possession of the car.

Thank you!

BMW raises pricing on many models

Wed, 02 Oct 2013

Buyers interested in a new BMW will start paying a bit more for their Ultimate Driving Machines, beginning yesterday. The Munich, Germany-based manufacturer has announced price hikes across nearly its entire range, covering model years 2013 and 2014, that will sting higher-end customers in particular.
Price increases are enough to get any consumer riled up, but the incremental nature of BMW's increase makes it a bit easier to swallow. All 1 Series and remaining 3 Series Convertibles (including the M3 Convertible) will see a $300 increase in price. All current-generation F30 3 Series, 5 Series GT and X3 crossovers will get their price bumped by $200. $500 increases are coming for the 6 Series range (not including the M6), while the diminutive X1 gets just a $100 increase.
Cars on the losing end of the price hikes include the newest M cars, the M5 and M6 Coupe, Convertible and Gran Coupe, which are being bumped $2,000. BMW is adding $1,000 to the sticker of all Z4s and the entire X6 range, including the X6M.

BMW takes 30th Anniversary Edition M5 out to drift

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

If you only look at the videos from BMW, it appears that the best way to celebrate the 30th birthday of the M5 is some smoky drifting, and it sure looks like a great way to mark the occasion to us. Now that the Bavarian brand's new 30th anniversary special edition is all set to hit the road, the most powerful M5 ever is getting it own chance to roast its tires on video, as well.
The M5 30th Anniversary Edition shouldn't have any problem hanging its rear end out, really. Under the hood, its twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 is turned up to 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque and can allegedly sprint to 60 miles per hour in a scant 3.7 seconds. That's pretty impressive for any sports car but especially for a sedan that can still carry four passengers comfortably cosseted in leather and Alcantara upholstery.
BMW is making just 300 of these celebratory models worldwide, and appropriately for the anniversary, only 30 of them are going to be available in the US. If the special M5 doesn't make your heart race, the video basks in a little nostalgia, as well, by showing off the original model for some historical context.

BMW already considering four cylinders for next M3

Tue, 13 May 2014

The cylinder count in BMW's M3 has fluctuated over the years. The original M3 debuted in 1985 packing a 2.3-liter inline-four, but subsequent models went with sixes until the outgoing generation upped the cylinder count to eight. With its latest model, BMW has dropped back to six cylinders with a pair of turbos taking the place of the extra pistons. But the next M3 sedan and M4 coupe could go back to the model line's roots with a four-cylinder engine.
Speaking with BMW M product manager Carsten Pries at the launch of the latest M3 and M4 in Portugal, our Aussie compatriots at Motoring.com.au report that "you could see a future [M3] powered by a four-cylinder engine." Offsetting the reduction in cylinders, the lighter engine would benefit the vehicle's weight and balance, thus enhancing performance.
We wouldn't expect the next M3 and M4 to lose any power in the process, though: Output in the M3 has only risen over the generations, from 192 horsepower in the four-pot original to 282 hp in the six-cylinder E36, 338 hp in the six-cylinder E46, 414 hp in the V8 E90 and 425 ponies in the new turbocharged six-cylinder F80 model. With that latter model having just debuted, it'll likely be a good six or seven years before the next version comes along, giving BMW plenty of time to settle on an engine - however many cylinders and turbochargers it has. In the meantime, you'll have to forgive us for taking a romp down M3 memory lane in the fresh gallery of images above.
