Excellent condition. No known mechanical issues.
Electronically selected horsepower, suspension and steering control!
414 Horsepower at your command! Speed, luxury and power!
This has been my weekend car and I simply do not drive it very much. It has been garaged and professionally
maintained. Those of you that have done some research on these cars may know that the most common (and expensive)
mechanical problem are the throttle actuators and both the left and right banks were replaced last year. They are
warrantied for two years by a local BMW repair shop.
The exterior is in great shape, but this is a BLACK car! So the paint will show every minor scratch, chip and
swirl. The car looks great as you can see in the pictures, but it is nearly 8 years old and there are some minor
imperfections, but nothing disappointing.
The interior is in great condition with the leather seats in fine shape. There is some leather wear on the drivers
side upper bolster where it cannot be avoided. The trim is black carbon fiber soft touch material.
Completely stock, no modifications except for the M3 colored front kidney grilles and carbon fiber BMW logo badges
on the front, back, wheels and steering wheel. Original grilles will be included with sale.
Vehicle had a full inspection in October of last year. Here was the report out:
Front Brake Pads at 5mm
Rear Brake Pads at 9mm
Front Tires at 8/32"
Rear Tires at 6/32"
Brake Fluid at 4% moisture
No Service Lights
No Check Messages
I've been getting a few questions about the insurance claim listed on the AutoCheck. If there was an actual
accident then it must have been superficial as there is nothing visually to indicate anything serious.. I had one
interested party that physically inspected the vehicle and could find nothing wrong. Anyone who is interested is
more than welcome to both inspect the car in person and take it for a test drive.

BMW X4 Concept is no Shanghai surprise

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

"One in four new BMW cars is now a BMW SAV." If you're new to BMW parlance, SAV stands for Sports Activity Vehicle, a vehicle type most of us more commonly refer to as a crossover, and that statistic, which comes straight from the automaker itself, tells you all you need to know about why the X4 Concept you see above exists.
Like its larger X6 sibling, the BMW X4 Concept tries to shove a crossover in a mold shaped vaguely like a fastback coupe. Put another way, the X4 is likely to be a polarizing design, though perhaps not to the extent that the X6 divided opinions. As for us, we definitely prefer the styling of this X4 Concept, with its strong character lines and impressive wheel-to-bodyside ratio, over that of its bigger brother. That said, we're sure the AMC Eagle comparisons will begin in earnest starting right about... now.
Dimensionally, it seems the most obvious machine with which to compare this X4 Concept is the 3 Series Wagon - we're not sure if it will be as spacious inside as the 3 Series Gran Turismo. A two-inch stretch in the wheelbase ought to bring a commensurate improvement in legroom, and a body that's nearly five inches longer should be a boon for cargo capacity. Of course, that fastback roofline will surely cut down on the car's roominess inside, but we'll have to wait for the final production model to judge its true capabilities.

A Tasty Bit Of Old School For The New School
Against the backdrop of fervent hand-wringing from brand purists, BMW is on the cusp of finally offering front-wheel-drive vehicles. While that's a shock to the constitution, many are pointing to the company's fine-handling Mini offerings as an article of faith that it can get this drivetrain paradigm shift right. That may be true, but there's an even more important lesson that Mini has taught the decision-makers in Munich: how to make real money on small cars.
Before Mini came along, BMW - along with seemingly every other premium European automaker - never really figured out how to coax big dollars out of American wallets without developing cars that had large footprints, at least those other than sports cars. While the automaker really got rolling in America on the strength of little bantamweights like the 2002, it veered away from small cars sometime in the '80s. BMW subsequently crashed and burned with the cut-and-shut 318ti built off its E36 3 Series and, good as it is, the 1 Series hasn't given the company meaty volume or profits, either. Among other brands, the Audi A3 has never rung up big numbers, and the less said about the painful sales figures of the Volvo C30, the better. But Mini has beat the odds, blazing a more affordable and evidently compelling trail. As of late, the company's Countryman softroader has been a massive hit worldwide. No surprise then that BMW has reconsidered bringing over its smallest softroader, the X1, to the US.

Beverly Hills road rage incident ends with BMW driver ramming bicyclist

Fri, 26 Apr 2013

An instance of road rage turned mortally dangerous in Beverly Hills, CA, recently, when an incident between a cyclist and a BMW driver took a scary turn in front of a rolling security camera.
LA Weekly reports that the person on the bicycle and the driver of the 2008 BMW 328i in the video had some kind of altercation, resulting in the cyclist punching the driver. The driver then followed the biker to an alley on the 9000 block of Wilshire Blvd and, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department, "Intentionally rammed the bicyclist with his vehicle pinning him to a metal rolling trash bin."
That the act was intentional is clearly evident in the video footage below, captured on a security camera. Police have published the video in the hopes of tracking down the driver, who is said to be in his mid-30s with dark hair, dark eyes and a thin build. BMW owners across the country can thank him - for reinforcing certain stereotypes - by helping to turn him in. Do your part, Bimmer Nation.
