You are bidding on a beautiful 2006 BMW M3 Convertible with with the CSL replica 19" rims. Carbon Black Metallic. Car is bone stock, except the exhaust. It has the Cat-back MAGNAFLOW exhaust which looks and sounds incredible. Sounds like an M3 should sound with no metallic raspiness. Has had all major services done.  This machine drives strong and like a beast. Tires in the rear have Aprox 70% tread left and about 80% on the Front tires.  Has the stock BMW radio with Harmon Kardon speakers and upgraded after-market subwoofer. Also has Dension IPod connector in glove box. I encourage all potential buyers to come see the vehicle in person.  This car is a beauty and must be seen in person to be appreciated. Shipping is buyers responsibility.  Car has no rattles, squeaks, leaks noises or any issues or indications of issues what so ever.  Runs and drives tight as you would expect from a M3.  Whenever there was a service concern I have addressed asap.  If you want to avoid headaches and save money this is the M3 to buy. The clutch and SMG pump are expensive items on this car and both have been replaced in the last two years by the dealer. Being a used car I am still selling the car as is with no gaurantees, however with all the services performed I would consider this to be the most trouble-free M3 to buy. Power top works flawlessly. No issues opening and closing.  No rips or disfiguration on the soft top either. A/C cools great. This car has normal blemishes that you would expect from a car its age, No accidents and the paint shines like new.  Some of the recent service done include but is not limited to:

BMW and Samsung team up with Galaxy Gear smartwatch that talks to your i3

Sun, 12 Jan 2014

Without a doubt, the most impressive thing that BMW showed at CES this year was a driverless M235i drifting flawlessly around a wet track at Las Vegas Speedway. However, that bit of robotic helmsmanship wasn't the only trick the German company had up its sleeve. Or, more to the point, on its wrist.
Taking a page from rival Mercedes-Benz, BMW demonstrated how a "smartwatch," in this case the Samsung Galaxy Gear, could be made to function usefully with a vehicle, in this case the BMW i3. Calling it a "research application," BMW showed off its BMW i Remote App on the Galaxy Gear; the app gives information about state of battery charge, available range and whether or not all the doors and windows are closed or open. Perhaps more useful still, the watch can be used to send a destination to the i3's navigation unit, adjust the climate control in preparation for a trip and can recognize voice commands. Nifty stuff, if not world-shaking, that could help tech-obsessed luxury buyers take a second look at the upcoming BMW EV.
Take a closer look at the watch in action below, or read thru the BMW press release.

BMW ponders increase in i3 production capacity on early demand

Wed, 16 Oct 2013

The 2014 BMW i3 is not slated to hit US showrooms until the second quarter of next year, but the response BMW has received for the all-electric hatchback has been positive enough that the automaker is already considering boosting production capacity. Bloomberg Businessweek reports that more than 8,000 customers have reserved an i3 so far, which is high, especially considering that BMW only planned to sell 10,000 i3s total in 2014.
Talking to BMW CFO Friedrich Eichiner, the report says that if the demand holds for the i3, BMW would increase capacity accordingly. The i3 goes on sale next month in Germany before a global roll out in the US, China and Japan, and with a starting price of $41,350, it is priced slightly higher than current small plug-in vehicles offered in the US like the Chevy Volt, Ford Focus Electric and Toyota Prius Plug-in, though features more use of advanced, lightweight materials.

This Or That: 1980 Oldsmobile 442 vs. 1989 BMW 635CSi [w/poll]

Thu, 09 Oct 2014

The last time I roped a coworker into an automotive debate, I lost. Resoundingly, I might add. Still, 2,385 voters chose to cast their lots for the Fiat 500 Abarth, as opposed to 5,273 choosing the Ford Fiesta ST, and so I can rest easy in the knowledge that at least 30 percent of you, dear readers, see things my way. I still like to think we have more fun, too.
My loss in the first round of our This or That series, in which two Autoblog editors pick sides on any given topic and then attempt to explain why the other is completely wrong, didn't stop me from picking another good-natured fight, this time with Senior Editor Seyth Miersma. Last time, our chosen sides were eerily similar in design, albeit quite different in actual execution. This time, our vehicular peculiarities couldn't seemingly fall any further from one another: A 1980 Oldsmobile 442 wouldn't seem to match up in comparison to a 1989 BMW 635CSi.
How did we come up with such disparate contenders? Simple, really. Seyth and I mutually agreed to choose a car that's currently for sale online. It had to be built and sold in the 1980s, and it had to be a coupe. The price cap was set at $10,000. The fruits of our searching labors will henceforth be disputed, with Seyth on the side of the Germans, and myself arguing in favor of the Rocket Olds. Am I setting myself up for another lopsided loss?
