2002 M3 Coupe, 39k Miles, 6 Speed, Exceptional Condition on 2040-cars
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
02 E46 M3, Low 39K miles, 6 SPD, Great Condition This is a two owner, 2002 Titanium Silver on Black, 6 speed
M3 coupe. It has very low miles (39k) and is in great condition. The car is
completely stock and has been 100% reliable, as you would expect for the miles.
It has the following options: premium package, (power memory seats, nappa
leather, rain sensing wipers and moon roof), side air bags, xenon headlights,
harmon kardon sound system and metallic paint. All maintenance is up to date
including new belts 3k miles ago and the 30k mile valve adjustments done by Orr
Autosports, local BMW specialists. I purchased the car from VA and have a truck as my primary
vehicle in the winter, so there is zero rust. Both previous owner and I are BMW
CCA members; it’s been looked after its whole life with correct oil,
maintenance on time, etc. I have used it as a weekend and road trip car. I’m
selling because I have limited space, own several other vehicles and I’m
looking for my next weekend toy, a GTV Alfa. This car has never been tracked or
raced; I have an M3 racecar for that. This is one of the best around. I"m happy to help arrange shipping or just drive it home and have fun! |

BMW 1 Series GT spied in 7-seat trim
Mon, 20 May 2013As BMW prepares to introduce its first-ever front-wheel drive car, the upcoming 1 Series GT, it looks like there will be at least two versions of the car. A conventional-looking hatchback was spotted testing late last year, but now we see an extended-length version in order to accommodate a third row of seats.
Judging by these spy shots, this 1 Series GT prototype has received an extended wheelbase, larger rear doors and more upright D-pillars compared to our previous spy shots (show in the gallery below) all with the aim of creating additional passenger and cargo space. Like the smaller 1 Series GT, this longer model would likely carry over the same powertrain options, which are expected to consist of three- and four-cylinder engines, a hybrid system and the choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The 1 Series GT could make its debut this fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show, but we might have to wait until next year to see the people mover.
BMW unleashes 160-hp S 1000 R streetfighter motorcycle
Wed, 06 Nov 2013BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
In its transformation from 193-horsepower superbike to 160-hp sportbike, BMW detuned the 999cc inline four-cylinder engine a bit by lowering the redline from 13,000 RPM to 11,000 RPM, where peak power is made. Torque is rated at "approximately" 83 pound-feet (the RR makes 82.5 lb-ft), but more importantly, engineers tweaked the torque delivery in the R's favor by redesigning the cylinder-head ducts, modifying the camshaft profiles and reprogramming the engine management system. The result is seven lb-ft more torque than the RR up to 7,500 RPM. The R's torque peak occurs at 9,250 RPM.
The bike comes standard with ASC (automatic stability control) and "Race" ABS. Riders can choose between two modes, "Road" and "Rain," which adjust ABS and ASC settings to suit dry or wet roads. DTC (dynamic traction control) is available as an option, and with two modes, "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro," the system optimizes traction and helps riders achieve maximum acceleration.
BMW planning smaller Z2 roadster
Sat, 10 May 2014It's been a few years since we heard about the BMW Z2, a compact, two-seat convertible that would slot in below the aging Z4 (shown above). Now, though, the crew at Car and Driver are back with details on the oft-rumored roadster.
The big shock for enthusiasts on this one is C/D's report that the Z2 will spin its front wheels, rather than its rears. A front-drive roadster is strange enough, but a front-drive BMW roadster? It's apparently true, though, as the new model would share its platform with the front-drive Mini and 2 Series Active Tourer rather than with the racier 228i or M235i coupes.
According to C/D, the rumored Z2 could be powered by a range of three- and four-cylinder, turbocharged engines, although it's more likely to be a four-only affair. Power should range from 160 to 230 ponies, while an M variant could arrive with 300 horsepower (that's a whole lot of power for front-wheel drive...).
