19"  staggered CSL style BMW rims (225/40/19 tires in front, 235/55/19 in rear.  Tires are in good shape, plenty of life left)

Windows are tinted all the way around. 

Car runs and drives great.  There are no mechanical issues that I have noticed.  I drive this car almost every day to and from work (about 15 miles each way) and it drives great.  Brakes and tires have plenty of life left.  All lights/electronics work.  Transmission doesn't appear to have any issues.  The only thing worth mentioning is on cold days (northeast winters), the gearbox is stiff if you don't let the car warm up.  Once warm, no issues.  The clutch was replaced approximately 7,000 miles (one year) ago. 

The car has normal wear and tear inside and out.  Major flaws are shown in the pictures.  The dent/paint damage behind the passenger door was there when I purchased the car.  It has not spread.  Otherwise, there are small scratches/paint chips on the front bumper/hood area.  The sunroof interior sliding door fell off the track.  It still opens and shuts with no issues and does not affect the sunroof performance (opening/closing/titlt) in any way.  These are the issues I know of to the best of my knowledge. 

 

Vehicle sold as is.  I'm pretty flexible with my schedule and will work with whatever arrangements the buyer makes for shipping and/or pick up.

What we've just tested at an airfield not far from Munich, Germany, is a new 1.5-liter TwinPower Turbo inline three-cylinder gas engine that we'll be hearing an awful lot about in the coming few years.

Steve Dinan has been enhancing BMW models since 1979. But don't throw his company into the ring with the dozen or so other tuners who tweak, tinker and piggyback upgrades on the famed German marque. Dinan is a tuner, but it's also an engineering firm that writes its own software, builds its own parts and then backs everything it does with a factory-grade warranty. That sort of fastidiousness comes at a price, but most of its customers - including the powerhouse of BMW Motorsport - rely on Dinan to help them come out on top.
In stock form, BMW's 550i is a formidable four-door with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 rated at 400 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. While those figures allow it to run with quick company (0-60 in 5.0 seconds, according to the automaker), Dinan puts the sedan's kettle on full boil with its S3 package. Starting with the engine, the performance engineering firm bolts on larger turbochargers, air-to-water intercoolers, a trick strut tower brace cold air intake, a quad-pipe free flow exhaust and its own engine management software. Pump in some premium fuel, and the result is 542 horsepower and 587 pound-feet of torque. Power is sent through the stock eight-speed automatic to a limited slip rear differential (Dinan will upgrade xDrive all-wheel drive models, too).
The Dinan S3 also features and extensive suspension upgrade that includes new front camber arms and low compliance rear control arms (engineered to reduce understeer and improve turn-in). The stock dampers are retained, but new bump stops are installed along with new springs. Overall, the car rides about a half-inch lower than stock to improve roll rate. To reduce unsprung weight, forged 20-inch HRE Performance wheels are fitted at all four corners (wearing Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires - 275/35ZR20 up front and 295/35ZR20 in the rear). Lastly, the company remaps the factory Electronic Damper Control (EDC) software with its own Dinan Shockware to work in conjunction with the new enhancements.

We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
