Don't pass up this opportunity these Z3 "M" spec cars are increasinly rare and collectable. This one is issue free and priced to sell.

Engine: 3.2L 240 horsepower starts and runs excellent, with no smoking or leaks to show. No noises or codes on the dash to note. The powerplant sets this apart from the standard Z3's out there.

Trans: The 5 speed shifts with not issues. The clutch is very firm, yet easy for most anyone to drive. No annoying jerking or grinding. Just a rewarding sound as you row through the gears mated to the M spec engine

Exterior: The imola red paint is buffed and waxed nicely. It shines is the best color for this car. There are a few chips from the highway but this is expected with a used car of this age. No scratches or rust to worry about.

Interior: The interior is wrapped in rich black leather. No tears or wear issues. The dash and door panels are not worn or faded and present well for a car of this age.

Suspension: No rattles, squeeks, or vibrations. The car tracks straight and drives well. No problems with worn out suspension components. Enjoy the handling of the "M" spec car with joy.

Tires: This car come with 4 matching michelin pilot tires. They have about 25% tread left on them. They will need to be replaced in the future.

Convertible top: Enjoy though its a smaller car it comes with a fully functional power top. There are also no leaks to report. The black fabric shows well with no fading or cuts. The rear plactic window shows some clouding but still very presentable.

Overal I hope you see that this car is a great one to enjoy in the future. I have done my best to describe the car fully. If you have any further questions, please call me at 732-261-4452.

BMW planning to stretch i3 into i5 family hauler?

Sat, 30 Nov 2013

If you're sweet on the new BMW i3 but wish it had more space to carry people and stuff, we've got good news for you. According to Autocar, BMW is planning on stretching the platform that underpins the i3 to create a new model, expected to be called i5.
The stretch job would add an extra four inches of legroom in the back and another six inches of rear overhang to the benefit of cargo space. The result would create a vehicle longer than the current Mini Countryman - although the next Countryman is likely to be even larger. As Autocar points out, the process of extending the i3's composte passenger cell likely wouldn't be as difficult or cost-intensive as lengthening a conventional metal chassis, although the rear doors would need to be re-engineered.
Whether the resulting vehicle would more closely resemble a hatchback, wagon, minivan or something in between remains to be seen, however BMW is said to have already registered the nameplates i1 through i8, signalling that the possibility is at least there to add more members to its new EV family.

2016 BMW X1 will be second model on company's front-drive platform

Fri, 08 Aug 2014

BMW is putting a lot of its chips on the success of its forthcoming front-wheel drive models, and it's making a big bet on the company's future in hoping that customers will accept them. Its front-driving UKL platform is underpinning not just the current crop of Minis but a host of BMW vehicles too. The rollout starts with the 2 Series Active Tourer in Europe later this year. But the Bavarian brand confirms to Automotive News Europe that the next one is the X1 crossover, slated to come to Europe next June. It will also be joined by the X2 next summer, confirming earlier rumors about the fashionable CUV's existence.
As the previous spy photos suggest, the X1 is even smaller than the current model, and it supposedly uses the same crop of turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder and 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines as Mini. But according to Automotive News Europe, the little guy is getting an extended, three-row version for the US, Russia and China. Like with the X4 or X6, the X2 shares most of the mechanical parts with its more conventional-looking sibling but features sleeker styling.
To make all of these UKL-based models possible, BMW is sharing development among them as much as is practical. According to Automotive News Europe, the next generations of the Mini Countryman, Clubman, X1 and X2 share the same electrical systems, drivetrains and more. Adding in the Active Tourer and still mysterious Family Active Sports Tourer to the mix, and the result is a big gamble that needs to go Bimmer's way.

BMW unleashes 160-hp S 1000 R streetfighter motorcycle

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
In its transformation from 193-horsepower superbike to 160-hp sportbike, BMW detuned the 999cc inline four-cylinder engine a bit by lowering the redline from 13,000 RPM to 11,000 RPM, where peak power is made. Torque is rated at "approximately" 83 pound-feet (the RR makes 82.5 lb-ft), but more importantly, engineers tweaked the torque delivery in the R's favor by redesigning the cylinder-head ducts, modifying the camshaft profiles and reprogramming the engine management system. The result is seven lb-ft more torque than the RR up to 7,500 RPM. The R's torque peak occurs at 9,250 RPM.
The bike comes standard with ASC (automatic stability control) and "Race" ABS. Riders can choose between two modes, "Road" and "Rain," which adjust ABS and ASC settings to suit dry or wet roads. DTC (dynamic traction control) is available as an option, and with two modes, "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro," the system optimizes traction and helps riders achieve maximum acceleration.
