Here is your opportunity to own a timeless classic from BMW. This 840ci is powered by a 4.0 V8 with close to 300 horse power with a 5 speed automatic with manual override. This Southern California car was purchased from the original owner and has 172k miles but don't let the mileage fool you. The engine runs strong, the transmission shifts smoothly, the air-conditioning blows ice cold, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it coast to coast. It has a few upgrades that enhance the driving experience including a 3.15 limited slip differential, performance chip, and muffler delete for a very nice sound. Recent repairs included a new water pump, thermostat, drive belt, heater control valve, drive shaft center support bearing, MID repair (Information display pixels), and brake hydro-booster rebuild. This car was a daily driver from Southern California so it does have some blemishes, mostly chips on the hood, and the windshield has a crack the width of the glass but is out of drivers view, but is otherwise in very nice condition. The interior is in beautiful condition and the car drives excellent. It would make a great daily driver or fix a few things to make it a collector classic. BMW Concept 90 Motorcycle debuts at Villa d'Este
Fri, 24 May 2013The Concept 90 is one of two new vehicles BMW is showing off at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este on the tony shores of Lake Como in Italy. This year is the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad and the 40th anniversary of the R 90 S (inset) - the first production motorcycle to come with a front fairing - and BMW has worked with custom bike builder Roland Sands Design to craft a homage to the Daytona Orange boxer from the Seventies.
While following the line of its forbearer, obviously the Concept 90 has been sexed and sleeked up. The bodywork is of hand-worked aluminum, the giant halogen lamp of the 1975 model (which is when Daytona Orange was introduced) has gone LED, and the front engine cover, valve covers, exhaust and wheels have been made with a contrast-cut milling process.

Audi S3 pitted against BMW M135i in track battle
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Audi and BMW have long been enemies on both the road and the track, with their respective M and S/RS lines duking it out to the delight of auto enthusiasts everywhere. In this video from Evo, two of the rivalry's newest combatants take to the track - the Audi S3 and the BMW M135i.
The new Audi S3, which is finally coming to America, throws down with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. 290 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque are deployed to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed, S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission, allowing the five-door Audi to scamper to 60 in under five seconds.
The BMW, which Americans will know as a long-roof version of the new M235i Coupe, comes to the track with 320 ponies and 331 lb-ft of torque. That's a good bit more than the Audi, but the M135i has only two wheels to send its power to, an eight-speed single-clutch automatic (a six-speed manual is available) and a slightly higher curb weight.
