Selling my 1993 BMW 850CI with 49,000 miles. It was a (Cleveland,Ohio) female one owner car for past 17 years since new. Originally leased through her and her husbands company they bought it out after the lease expired. Car runs and drives beautifully better than most new BMW models. Drives at 120mph as if at 60mph don't feel any bumps or twitches at all runs straight as an arrow at any speed. It has brand new OEM 18" bmw m-parallel wheels front/rear with brand new Hankook tires 245/40x18 front with 275/35x18 rears. It received its very first brake work upon purchase couple years ago with only 3000 miles on them now. All 4 new rotors and pads were replaced due to lack of driving. The vehicle is absolutely stock and original from front to rear top to bottom and accident free. Has had a recent oil change prior to storage and is presently indoor as it has been for its past almost 20 yrs.

Although not a new car its in well above average condition for its age. Paint is shiney as a 2-3 yr old car would be and interior is impeccable no cracks holes or any other damages. All buttons knobs dials on dash are as new. It has original cassette player on dash and original bmw cd disc changer in trunk. Original phone on console is like new and operates well. Have original BMW window sticker from when sold new as well as all BMW service records. BMW floor mats are original and includes a car cover. A very desirable black on black well documented car in excellent original condition. This is an extremely well cared for vehicle with minimal mileage that one could take any distance reliably in great comfort. Any serious buyers are encouraged to call or email me directly. BMW suing Saab Automobile Parts for $3.2M

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

Saab might be all but dead, but that's not stopping automakers that were once involved with the Swedish brand from attempting to reclaim losses. According to a Fox Business report, BMW has filed a 2.6 million Euro suit ($3.2 million USD) with a Swedish district court against Saab Automobile Parts for deliveries that went unpaid.
In 2012, Saab Automobile AB signed an agreement BMW that would see the German automaker deliver four-cylinder gas engines for its 9-3 range.
The suit also asserts that Saab ordered a large number of spare parts, and no payments were made to BMW. At the time, Saab was far from liquid, and filed for bankruptcy in December of last year.

2015 BMW X6 keeps it weird

Thu, 02 Oct 2014

Say what you will about the BMW X6 - odd and ugly as it may be, it's actually been sort of successful for the German automaker. BMW has now sold some 250,000 examples of the X6 since its launch, and the company's fastback-crossover-coupe-whatever-thing gets a host of meaningful updates for the 2015 model year while not straying from its original mission.
Aside from its revised styling, most noticeably set apart by its larger, X5-inspired headlamps, the biggest update for the US-spec X6 is the addition of a rear-wheel-drive model, the sDrive35i. This trim joins the all-wheel-drive xDrive35i and xDrive50i, and since you should all be capable of decoding BMW's weird naming structure by now, you know this means the X6 will be offered with a choice of 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder and twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engines. Fuel economy figures have not been released yet, but BMW says the new powertrains are more efficient than before, mated exclusively to an eight-speed automatic transmission regardless of cylinder count.
Look for the updated X6 to hit US showrooms this fall, following its debut this week in Paris. Expect pricing to be revealed closer to the model's on-sale date. Have a look below for all of the details.

BMW recalling nearly 570,000 1 Series, 3 Series and Z4 models over electrical issue

Mon, 18 Feb 2013

BMW is recalling roughly 570,000 vehicles in the United States and Canada due to faulty battery cable connectors that can fail, causing the engines in these cars to stall. Of the nearly 570,000 affected vehicles, just over 504,000 are here in the US.
The affected vehicles include 1 Series coupes and convertibles (both 128i and 135i) from the 2008 to 2011 model years; 3 Series sedans, coupes, convertibles and sport wagons (both 328i and 335i) from the 2007 to 2011 model years; and Z4 roadsters from the 2009 to 2011 model years.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, "the connector for the positive battery cable connector and the corresponding terminal on the fuse box may degrade over time," which can eventually lead to a break in the electrical connection and a loss of power in the vehicle. If the car loses power, the engine can stall, which could possibly lead to a crash. The Detroit News reports that BMW knows of one minor collision in Canada as a result of this problem, but no injuries.
