Beautiful well-maintained luxury machine. Power everything including door closing and trunk closing. Nav, bluetooth to your phone, built in garage door openers. BMW thought of everything when making this car so it has every option you can think of and some you didn't think of, including the rear champagne cooler, adaptive rain washers and headlights that turn to see around corners. Heated and cooled armrest box. Heated, cooled and massage seats. Rear seats also recline. Power shades for rear glass and side windows. Heated stearing wheel is one of my favorite features. Way too many features to list. I have the original carpet mats, but use this car as a daily driver, family car and vacation vehicle so I have factory rubber mats as well which are in the photos. Everything works. The Harmon-Kardon stereo is the clearest and best sounding stereo I've ever heard in a car. This is smoothest, most solid, roomiest, quietest way to travel period. I've owned it the past 30,000 miles and absolutely love the car, but family is growing and I need garage room for an X5 with 3rd row. I am the second owner and have the original window sticker and manuals. I also have BMW factory custom-fitted roof base support for ski, bicycle, etc. racks---all ruberized so no marks. Be careful buying this car model unless the owner can give you service history and records. Most of these are for sale by dealers that have no idea (or worse, do) and there's a reason they bought it cheap at auction and are reselling it so cheap. This model's only weak point is fuel delivery problems, which unfortunately was not recall-fixed by BMW company. I have receipts of over $6000 to correct the situation, so unless you can get the service history showing replacement of faulty fuel injectors, intake manifold, and related items, plan on adding about $7000 to the purchase price. Again, that's been fixed on this car. Everything else about the car is absolutely reliable, even all the nick-nacks, and this car with 100,000 miles will be as solid as new. I have fairly new Continental DWS (Dry,Wet,Snow) tires that are amazing. They have traction like race tires but 540 wear rating and excellent snow traction which I can personally vouch for. The V12 has 438 horsepower and 444 ft-lbs oftorque and is a wonder all by itself. It is so quiet and effortless you hardly need any throttle pressure to move smartly and never shifts out of 6th gear on the highway, even in mountains. You could drive this car forever and never exceed 2000 RPM. It is so torquey that it starts out in 2nd gear for extra smoothness, unless you use sport or manual shifting setting. If you do have room to open this up it sounds amazing at high RPM and will cruise indefinitely at obscene speeds without effort. Acceleration is unlike any other car I've owned and I can best describe it as jet thrust, which you understand if you've ever experienced take-off in a big jet. One of the most valuable features on this car is the dealer installed built-in front and rear radar/laser detectors that is incorporated into the car--$2800. It has saved a lot of money and hassle. I've never carried a lien on this car, so don't waste my time with offers to low-ball a sale outside of eBay. This much car at this price with a documented history is a steal. I use this car a lot because it is a pleasure to drive, but it has always lived in a climate controlled garage and well cared for. Excellent car for anybody that spends a lot of time on the road and likes to arrive without feeling like it. Car is rated for 17 mpg city and 22 hwy and has 23 gallon tank so range is outstanding for those who don't care for spending a lot of time at the filling station. This is for sale locally of course so auction may be ended early if vehicle is no longer available.

2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe

It's relatively easy to snag the keys to a vehicle for a special occasion, whether that be for a road trip, tailgating or helping a friend move. And while sometimes the tailgating might happen with a Ford F-150 instead of a Range Rover and the road trip might be in a minivan rather than a Mercedes-Benz S-Class, occasionally the stars align and a special vehicle arrives for an equally special time.
That's exactly how I found myself dressed to the nines and behind the wheel of the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, a $135,375 (as-tested) rocket ship, en route to a rare multi-wedding weekend to celebrate with two pairs of my closest friends on the biggest day of their lives (a very special congratulations to Kara and Zach, and Laura and Andrew). Continuing with our nuptial theme, the M mechanicals and the 6 Series Gran Coupe body are a match made in heaven.
Audi S3 pitted against BMW M135i in track battle
Fri, 07 Mar 2014Audi and BMW have long been enemies on both the road and the track, with their respective M and S/RS lines duking it out to the delight of auto enthusiasts everywhere. In this video from Evo, two of the rivalry's newest combatants take to the track - the Audi S3 and the BMW M135i.
The new Audi S3, which is finally coming to America, throws down with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder. 290 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque are deployed to a Quattro all-wheel-drive system via a six-speed, S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission, allowing the five-door Audi to scamper to 60 in under five seconds.
The BMW, which Americans will know as a long-roof version of the new M235i Coupe, comes to the track with 320 ponies and 331 lb-ft of torque. That's a good bit more than the Audi, but the M135i has only two wheels to send its power to, an eight-speed single-clutch automatic (a six-speed manual is available) and a slightly higher curb weight.
BMW considering building 3 Series in North America
Sun, 13 Apr 2014There might be even more BMWs coming from North America soon. The company recently announced plans to build a flagship crossover called the X7 at its Spartanburg, SC, factory. Now, rumors are emerging that the Bavarians might be thinking about building a second North American factory that could build its quick-selling 3 Series.
According to Bloomberg, the German luxury giant is considering several possible locations for a North American factory, including two in Mexico, that may build the 3. "We will decide this in the next months. On the North American continent, there's still potential," said BMW production boss, Harald Krueger, in an interview meant for company staff obtained by Bloomberg.
If BMW decides to open a plant in Mexico, it would be following its rival Audi, which already announced construction of a factory there. Mercedes-Benz has been rumored to be working on a deal with Nissan to build its cars South of the Border as well. Rumors of Bimmer considering Mexican production have also cropped up in the past, so it wouldn't come as a total surprise to hear it made official.
