Bmw 735li Amazing Condition! 44,000 Miles! Near Perfect Car. on 2040-cars
Oswego, Illinois, United States
MUST SEE CAR!
Up for bid is my friends 1991 BMW 735Li. I'm listing it for him. This car is in near perfect condition. Yes - I said perfect. It has 45,000 miles on it. That's it. Always stored winters - every winter. Hardly ever even been wet. The owner is a full fledged nit picker who has babied this car since new. He is the only owner. He has the title in hand. Please assume the car is in the condition it left the dealership in 1991; except for the following: the hood was repainted after a lady backed into it at a stoplight years ago. The hood was replaced. The new paint has 6 very small (pencil eraser or smaller) bubbles in it that would have to be pointed out to notice. The under hood insulator pad has a tear in the 2 spots where they sit next to the cabin filters. THAT IS IT! NO rock chips. None. It has had a bra on it since new. NO door dings. None. The interior has no wrinkles/stains/bad spots on seats/etc that would differentiate it from new. Period. No glass chips or cracks. No curb rash on the perfect wheels. None. Brakes are replaced and like new. It drives perfect with no issues in ride/suspension/steering/etc. The photos are from a phone camera; and one of them made shadows in the seats. The seats are NOT blemished in any way. Also - please note: I am not a dealer or broker. I'm a BMW fan and wanting to help my friend sell his car. The only reason he's selling is because he is "up in years" now; and tired of storage fees. The outstanding condition of this car cannot be witnessed by phone cameras - or any camera for that matter. It must be seen! It is located (in storage already) 45 miles SW of Chicago. The asking price is up there. But so is the condition of this fine luxury automobile. Included are 2 BMW manuals for repairing that have never been used. Options on the window sticker say: ASC - $1,290; Rear Sunshade $175; Ski Bag $180; Heated Front Seats $300. The owner had a BMW dealer install a BMW 6 CD changer in the trunk. I am a car detailer, and I recently added: protectant for all rubber seals and interior parts/seats. I buffed a glaze into the paint and put a Menzerna sealant on the exterior. Topped it off with a carnauba wax. Note: the owner will only take a cashiers check during banking hours. Please email questions, and thanks for looking! Also, please note: the condition of this car is accurate. It is in that great of a condition. IF you make a deal to purchase, and upon inspection, note any other defects than what is listed, you can walk away. Period. No negative feedback will be left if you walk away because you found the car less than what is described. MUST SEE CAR! |

Xcar checks if BMW's i8 offers moves as electrifying as its looks
Sat, 02 Aug 2014If you were to plot the general opinion about hybrids since their introduction among auto enthusiasts, the resulting graph would likely be shaped somewhat like a "V." In the beginning interest was high, simply due the novelty of these new powertrains, then the line would gradually fall as the models got the stereotype of being boring commuters. Today, though, things might be back on the upswing. Vehicles like the McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and BMW i8 are showing that a hybrid doesn't have to be synonymous for dull. In its latest video, Xcar Films aims to find out if BMW's electrified sports coupe actually earns the brand's old moniker as the ultimate driving machine.
While the focus here is on what the i8 is like behind the wheel, one of the main highlights for the viewer is the interesting ways that Xcar shoots the BMW. It's not necessarily a beautiful vehicle, but seeing it in motion reveals all sorts of little intricacies that still photos don't pick up. For example, our eye catches the flying buttresses and little crevices scooped out of the corners when we get a look at the rear. It's just a fun car to look at.
With its 1.5-liter, turbocharged, three-cylinder engine and electric motor, the i8 positions itself as the future of automotive performance. But its intriguing looks and cutting-edge use of carbon fiber would be wasted if the coupe didn't drive well. We won't spoil the final verdict, though, you'll have to watch the video above.
BMW X4 Concept is no Shanghai surprise
Thu, 04 Apr 2013"One in four new BMW cars is now a BMW SAV." If you're new to BMW parlance, SAV stands for Sports Activity Vehicle, a vehicle type most of us more commonly refer to as a crossover, and that statistic, which comes straight from the automaker itself, tells you all you need to know about why the X4 Concept you see above exists.
Like its larger X6 sibling, the BMW X4 Concept tries to shove a crossover in a mold shaped vaguely like a fastback coupe. Put another way, the X4 is likely to be a polarizing design, though perhaps not to the extent that the X6 divided opinions. As for us, we definitely prefer the styling of this X4 Concept, with its strong character lines and impressive wheel-to-bodyside ratio, over that of its bigger brother. That said, we're sure the AMC Eagle comparisons will begin in earnest starting right about... now.
Dimensionally, it seems the most obvious machine with which to compare this X4 Concept is the 3 Series Wagon - we're not sure if it will be as spacious inside as the 3 Series Gran Turismo. A two-inch stretch in the wheelbase ought to bring a commensurate improvement in legroom, and a body that's nearly five inches longer should be a boon for cargo capacity. Of course, that fastback roofline will surely cut down on the car's roominess inside, but we'll have to wait for the final production model to judge its true capabilities.
