HOLY COW, COME LOOK AT THIS BAD BOY!!!!  The very summit of automotive engineering, it’s never been done better.  THIS is where it’s at.

  2008 BMW 750i, 79,778K miles

  • 4.8L V8 Engine
  • 6-speed Automatic Transmission with paddles
  • 360Hp / 360 foot-pounds of torque

Power everything – mirrors, moonroof, trunk, seats—the seats have so many buttons I still haven’t got them sorted out.  All four seats are heated, the front two have a little fan to blow the sweat off your back and the driver’s seat will actually   massage your butt cheeks as you’re going down the road.  I’m not even lying.

The exterior is Black with Tan leather interior—Well cared for, and I would say it is definitely clean and close to outstanding, there is one issue with the cup holder in the back, which still works fine it just lost its spring and there are a scratches   on the leather seats but no rips or holes (see pics).

I have had this car for a couple of years and I believe it only had one other owner – clean carfax.

I just had the brakes replaced, brand new -- maybe 100 miles on them.  Front tires are good, but the back tires should be replaced soon - little out of round.  There are a few minor scratches on the exterior (see pics).

And… Here’s the best part—it’s still got 20,000 miles left on the certified pre-owned warranty from United BMW in Roswell, GA.  I called, and it’s transferrable.  The only difference between this and the one you’d get from      the dealership is nothing -- except you get to save $8000.

I have lots more pics, send me a message if you would like to see more.

To be honest, I love this car and it breaks my heart to sell it, but it is time… I just won’t be able to watch you drive away in it on account of I’m too old to cry.

 The extras:

  • AM/FM/AUX (for mp3) Audio System
  • Bluetooth Capable
  • Soft closing doors
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Front and rear side Airbags
  • Heated Steering Wheel
  • Massaging Driver’s Seat

  • Power Activated Trunk
  • Power Rear and Side Sunshades
  • Rear Heated Seats

navigation system with a fairly recent map disc - 2011 I think

BMW i3 gets official worldwide

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

Even though we recently drove a near-production version of the BMW i3, the car still wore light exterior and interior camouflage. Today, BMW took off that little bit of camo and made a big announcement: The i3 will go on sale in the US for $41,350 in the second quarter of 2014. That does not include any state or federal incentives that could lower the price or the $925 destination fee. The i3 will debut with three trim levels, which BMW is referring to as Worlds: Mega (standard in the US), Giga and Tera.
The BMW i3 is chock-full of new technology afforded by its design as an EV from the start of development, which has resulted in a vehicle layout unique to the i3. BMW has named it LifeDrive architecture, and it features the Life Module and the Drive Module. The Life Module is the i3's pillar-less passenger cell, which is the first mass-produced monocoque made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). The tougher-than-steel material is also 30-percent lighter than aluminum, which contributes to the i3's relatively light weight of 2,700 pounds (preliminary US figure) and, in turn, increases its energy efficiency. Expect more of this technology to find its way into future BMWs.
The Drive Module, a 100-percent aluminum chassis mounted under the Life Module, houses everything that makes the i3 go. It includes the 22-kilowatt, 450-pound lithium ion battery mounted as centrally as possible, and provides power to a rear-mounted electric motor that turns the rear wheels. With 170 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque from zero rpm, the single-gear i3 can accelerate from 0-30 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds and 0-60 mph in about 7.0 seconds, but it has a top speed of only 93 mph. BMW says the i3 has a real-world EV range of 80-100 miles, and the standard charger can fill the battery in three hours. Opt for the SAE DC Combo Fast Charger and 30 minutes is all it takes for a full charge; 20 minutes will bump the battery to 80 percent. For customers who have range anxiety, BMW gives them the option to install a 34-hp, 650cc two-cylinder generator as a range extender for the electric drive system.

2014 BMW 4 Series

Because Four Is Greater Than Three
Say what you will about the name 4 Series, there is a method to BMW's madness. On one hand, it's easy enough to just buy into the logic that odd numbers are reserved for sedans and wagons, and that even numbers are reserved for coupes and convertibles. On the other hand, consider the idea that the higher numbers are used to separate the more dynamic, more engaging vehicles that use the same platform. It's that sort of separation that differentiates the 6 Series so nicely from its 5 Series roots, after all. And if we're being cynical, it also allows BMW to charge a bit more money for its lower-volume offerings.
So with the new two-door version of the 3 Series, BMW has gone the route of strengthening the dynamic virtues of its F30 chassis to create a car that's more removed from its sedan kin than one might think. And after spending some time with the new 4 Series on the roads around Lisbon, Portugal, as well as the famous Circuito do Estoril racetrack, it's increasingly clear that calling this car a 3 Series Coupe simply wouldn't be fair.

Official pics of BMW M235i surface ahead of coupe's debut

Thu, 24 Oct 2013

BMW isn't supposed to debut the 2 Series until tomorrow, according to Carscoops, but that hasn't stopped these photos of the 1 Series Coupe replacement from leaking onto the web. First picked up by a BMW 2 Series enthusiast site, the photos eventually found their way around the web, and complement the spy images we showed you of the uncovered 2 Series from almost six months ago.
This particular car is the M235i, and will serve as the range-topping 2 Series. As the number "35" is affixed to this car's tail, there's no question that the engine powering this example is BMW's turbocharged, 3.0-liter six-cylinder. As we reported earlier this month, power for the M235i should sit around 320 horsepower, blessing the 3,240-pound coupe with a 4.8-second sprint to 60 miles per hour when equipped with an eight-speed automatic (a six-speed manual is also available, but drops the time down to an even five seconds).
While this isn't a full-bore M car like the 1 Series M Coupe, it has been touched by the company's in-house tuning division, which means it sports a racier body kit, blacked out grilles and M-labeled interior items, like the steering wheel.
