2006 Bmw 750i Short Wheel Base Sport Package Two Tone Interior In Mint Condition on 2040-cars

Selling my 2006 BMW 750I sport package in a great shape. This is a rare car since it comes in I model which means it has short wheel base also it has M sport package and two tone interior. I have purchased it about two years ago as a trade in car from the local BMW dealer in AS-IS condition due to high mileage and known problem with valve seals leak (very common problem for 8 cylinder BMW engine since 2002). As I am BMW mechanic I knew what it is and how to fix it. I did not plan to sell it so I started all required repairs that 8 cylinder BMW needs with 90000-110000 miles from 2002 production year includes: VALVE SEALS, VALVE COVER GASKETS, FRONT TIMING COVER GASKETS, COOLANT TRANSFER PIPE, ALTERNATOR BRACKET GASKET, TRANSMISSION MECHATRONNIC BRIDGE, NEW TRANSMISSION OIL PAN WITH FILTER AND NEW FLUID, FRONT BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS WITH REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS. All repairs I did by myself so my investments were only original BMW parts and sleepless nights in the shop. You can Google all repairs I made on it and I am pretty sure you will find estimate prices on it between $7000 and $15000 depends on the shop. Now car is in almost perfect mechanical and cosmetic condition except few things: the driver seat buckle shows signs of wear can be painted I think (see pictures below) the back of headliner needs repair, and one of the oil lifter sometimes makes ticking noise (does not affect performance of the engine), rear right door panel handle has small cut sign on it from previous owner (see picture below). Now I have no time to fix all the issues above to make it 100% perfect because I need money and I will sell all my BMW collection. Since the time of repairs I only put about 2000 miles on it because it is my 7th car. Besides few cosmetic issues that I already listed the car is in the perfect mechanical condition without any warning/service lights on, no noises or leaks, tires has about 60% tread left on front and about %50 on rear. Everything works on it properly. For somebody who is looking for his first 7 series I can say it is truly amazing car and you gonna love it from the first day! Better than this one I think can only be ALPINA B7 which is twice expansive. It comes with all standard BMW 7 series options plus: comfort access, soft closing doors, rear window power sunshade, rear doors power sunshades, rear DVD entertainment system, heated rear seats, heated steering wheel, voice control system, Bluetooth, power trunk lid, 20" BMW M sport rims and it has been programmed to remote close windows and sunroof (not available option for US market). BMW X5 gets full battery of performance visuals
Wed, 12 Feb 2014If you think BMW toned down its third-generation X5 CUV a little too much with its latest redesign, the new M Performance Parts line of optional parts may give you a chance to inject in a new sense of style.
The aesthetic parts include new carbon fiber pieces for the mirror caps, front splitter, rear diffuser and rear aero flaps. There's also a rear spoiler, high-gloss black kidney grilles, M Performance rocker panel decals and double-spoke 21-inch wheels with performance tires. The interior upgrades are similar with an available Alcantara steering wheel with carbon fiber trim, stainless steel pedals and carbon fiber gearshift trim.
Not all of the M Performance Parts are about style. The M Performance Power Kit sharpens throttle response and boosts power of the X5 xDrive35i to 320 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque, an improvement of 20 hp and 32 lb-ft, and an optional exhaust with chrome tips improves its sound. For buyers looking for improved stopping power, the M Performance Brake Kit adds six-piston calipers with 19-inch steel rotors.
Next BMW X1 moving to smaller, lighter FWD-biased platform
Thu, 20 Feb 2014BMW's decision to make the upcoming 2-Series Active Tourer front-wheel drive has been polarizing to say the least, but like it or not, that is the direction the company will go in the near future - one rumor put the number as high as 23 front-wheel-drive models for Mini and BMW combined. The next-generation X1 won't send all its power to the front wheels, though, when it launches in early 2016. While it will use the same platform as the Active Tourer, rumors suggest all models will use all-wheel drive - at least at launch.
A "high-ranking," unnamed BMW manager confirmed to AutoWeek that the new model will switch to transversely-mounted three- and four-cylinder engines and the same six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions as the Active Tourer. The new, smaller platform will allow for more efficient packaging, and despite the smaller size, interior space will remain comparable. All the changes should make it significantly lighter too.
Don't start wailing just yet because BMW surely won't be entirely abandoning sporty models. AutoWeek claims that the Bavarians are working on a higher-output version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with power closer to 300 horsepower, about a 72-hp boost. It's also rumored to offer a sporty version of the X1 that may be called the X2.
BMW recalls diesel X5 models over fuel filter heater

BMW has announced that it is recalling 1,540 examples of its 2009 and 2010 X5 xDrive35d crossovers produced between June 13, 2009 and November 9, 2009.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the model's fuel filter heater, which warms up the diesel fuel at low outside temperatures, can experience an electrical overload condition that may cause it to become permanently activated. This means the fuel filter heater could remain activated even when the ignition is off, which could lead to a dead battery. It could also lead to overheating, possibly resulting in a fire.
