In almost absolutely perfect condition, and priced to sell for financial reasons, this car provides a heck of a lot of car for the money. Price when new was $82,000 (+ tax!). It kills me to think that there's people out in a car lot buying some crappy car for way more than the price of this car, which is barely broken in. This car needs absolutely nothing. The only known blemishes are some small scratches on the bottom of the rear bumper and a few tiny nicks (stone chips) below the passenger side headlight. I've tried to show this in the pictures. The tires even have plenty of tread left on them.
I am selling this car for a close friend, who lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He never sells anything on ebay and doesn't have feedback as a seller, so I am gladly listing it for him. I would not risk my feedback rating, so you can be sure that there is nothing dishonest about this listing or the vehicle. I would buy it myself if I didn't already have 2 other bmws... Unfortunately, you will notice on the vehicle history report, that there was a manufacturer buy-back. To our knowledge, there were some issue(s) that the original owner had. I am working to get the information from the original dealer in San Diego, CA. Please contact me for more info. The fact is that the vehicle has had only normal bmw maintenance and only minor issues over the last 4 years or more.

VW Golf R pitted against BMW M235i in enthusiast's choice battle
Fri, 15 Aug 2014Most people don't have two, open spots in their garage to fit a practical daily driver and a fire-breathing performance car for the weekends. That's what makes vehicles like the latest Volkswagen Golf R and BMW M235i just about perfect for the average person. Both of these Germans can lope around as a commuter 90 percent of the time and be perfectly comfortable. However, when you want to walk in the door with a big smile on your face, you can take the back roads home and get a real thrill from them.
In his latest short video, Chris Harris from Drive tests these surprisingly comparable German performance cars. Both of them offer buyers in the neighborhood of 300 horsepower, with the BMW winning out with 320 hp. However, the Golf R gets standard all-wheel drive, which is now an option on the M235i. Harris has quite positive things to say about these Europeans, but you're going to have to watch the video to hear just what he thinks.
BMW unleashes 160-hp S 1000 R streetfighter motorcycle
Wed, 06 Nov 2013BMW Motorrad released the S 1000 RR superbike in 2010, but for those who'd like to take it down a (small) notch, the German motorcycle maker introduced the 2014 S 1000 R, a slightly less-ballsy version of the range-topping superbike, at EICMA on Tuesday.
In its transformation from 193-horsepower superbike to 160-hp sportbike, BMW detuned the 999cc inline four-cylinder engine a bit by lowering the redline from 13,000 RPM to 11,000 RPM, where peak power is made. Torque is rated at "approximately" 83 pound-feet (the RR makes 82.5 lb-ft), but more importantly, engineers tweaked the torque delivery in the R's favor by redesigning the cylinder-head ducts, modifying the camshaft profiles and reprogramming the engine management system. The result is seven lb-ft more torque than the RR up to 7,500 RPM. The R's torque peak occurs at 9,250 RPM.
The bike comes standard with ASC (automatic stability control) and "Race" ABS. Riders can choose between two modes, "Road" and "Rain," which adjust ABS and ASC settings to suit dry or wet roads. DTC (dynamic traction control) is available as an option, and with two modes, "Dynamic" and "Dynamic Pro," the system optimizes traction and helps riders achieve maximum acceleration.
Airbag recall widens to include BMW, Chrysler, Ford and Toyota
Mon, 23 Jun 2014The recall of faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata has exploded today to grow to seven automakers. In most cases, only models in certain high-humidity regions were affected because the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found in its investigation that moisture played a roll in determining whether there would be a problem. However, some companies opted for national campaigns. The exact number of affected models for these campaigns isn't yet known at this time.
BMW is recalling an undisclosed number of 325i, 325Xi, 330i and 330Xi models from the 2001 through 2005 model years and the 2001-2006 model year versions of the 325Ci and 330Ci for the driver side and passenger side inflators. Only vehicles currently registered in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands are covered under this recall.
Neither Chrysler's filing with NHTSA nor its press release list the specific models affected, but a company spokesperson told Autoblog that at this time it only covers the driver and passenger side inflators for the 2006 Dodge Charger in Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and the US Virgin Islands
