Up for sale is my 2004 BMW 745li in EXCELLENT condition! This car rides and drives like a dream and has been meticulously maintained. I just bought 4 brand new Michelin Pilot Sport tires as well! ($1500 for the set of 4) Battery is new too. Only two previous owners and NO ACCIDENTS!!! This car has never had any paintwork whatsoever - the paint looks very good, almost new - and is in my opinion the most attractive color you can get for this car. You should see it in the sunlight. It looks awesome. I have a carfax that I'm happy to send to you so you can see for yourself.
I just had it tuned up at Plaza motors, including a fresh oil change (synthetic so you don't need to change again for another year), brand new windshield wipers installed (I upgraded the hardware on the wipers to the new 2012 style as well so the squirters come right out of the actual wiper) This car needs absolutely nothing. Front brakes are almost new, the rear brakes have more than 60% life left. Surprisingly, it gets good gas mileage too. My last road trip got me 26 MPG on the highway.
I also bought new interior doorsills for the car since these were notorious for looking terrible on these cars. (they woudl scrape real easy and look bad.) They fixed the problem with the later years. You'll know what I'm talking about if you've ever seen another 2004-2008 model.
The interior of this car is as close to perfect as you can get for a used car. It's super clean. The backseats almost look like they've never been sat in. (and they are HUGE!!!)
This car has every option you can possibly get (except power rear seats - aside from that it has EVERYTHING), including the 19" premium wheel package. By the way, the wheels do not have even a single scratch on them. They're perfect as you can see from the pics.

Automotive April Fools' joke roundup [w/videos]
Mon, 01 Apr 2013Happy April, everyone. And we all know what this first day of the month means: April Fools' Day. Today is a national holiday for pranksters with the Internet acting as a serious enabler, and it's always fun to see what kind of vivid imaginations exist out there in the automotive world. The abundance of fake news gets a little old as the day rolls on, but we did manage to get in a few chuckles thanks to a handful of major automakers and automotive news outlets that got into the pranking spirit this year
Some of our favorites this year includes Subaru showing what happens when you combine a bunch of rumors, a Corvette some may have already thought was a joke or Honda providing some in-car innovation circa the late 1980s. Honestly, we're still waiting for official confirmation from Mitsubishi that the recently introduced 2014 Mirage is an elaborate April Fools' joke using a failed design intended for the 1995 Geo Metro. We dug up as much "official" OEM foolishness we could find, as well as some of our other favorites, and posted them all below.
2014 BMW R NineT
Tue, 26 Aug 2014BMW is taking a page from the Harley-Davidson playbook with its groundbreaking R NineT. A retro cafe racer with an urban hooligan twist, the bike is fully customizable from fork to exhaust. Of course, any motorcycle can be customized, but the fact that BMW has built its newest bike to encourage modification using parts that can be swapped with simple tools is a radical move for a motorcycle maker best known for its plug-and-play touring bikes.
To underscore exactly how radical, BMW has even partnered with custom heavy-hitter Roland Sands Design, which developed the initial concept for the bike and is now manufacturing a full line of parts and accessories for the R NineT, including radial valve covers ($950), retro racing saddles ($400-$420), radial gauge housing ($400) and a radial headlight bezel ($250), among other things, all of which can be swapped with a socket wrench or screwdriver instead of a hacksaw, wire cutters and TIG welder.
Alas, the bike I tested for two weeks was stock, so consider it a blank canvas.
BMW restores classic Mini as it revives production in Netherlands
Wed, 13 Nov 2013Mini will be kicking off production in the Netherlands, a country that hasn't built a Mini-badged machine since 1966. In honor of this event, BMW Group Classic, the team responsible for all the cars in the BMW Museum, as well as being a spare parts and restoration company in its own right, revived a classic 1959 Austin Seven. That particular car, number 983, was one of the first Minis to be built in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands' JJ Molenaar's Car Companies built 4,000 Austin Sevens and Morris Mini-Minors between 1959 and 1966, although we imagine Dutch Mini production will be much bigger when it starts up again in summer 2014. A five-person team from VDL Nedcar, the group handling production of new Minis, took to the job of restoring the diminutive British car from nose to tail.
The 34-horsepower engine and the transmission were both completely rebuilt, while the door panels were redone by hand. Help from the Mini community aided the VDL Nedcar team in finding authentic replicas or original parts where possible. All told, the new classic Mini is a striking example of what a good restoration can do to a car. The Seven was repainted in its original Farina Gray, adding to the car's sense of authenticity.
