Interior 9.5/ 10 Exterior 9/10 Led interior lights. Led angel eyes. Current millage 86k I drive it daily may change a little. I drive it back and forth to work and have a parking lot at work. put gas and drive it, needs nothing no maintance nothing-all up to date drive it anywhere. Looks drives and feels like a 30k-40k mile car. I’m selling this and my range rover to buy a 7 pass for me and my wife to share and save on the insurance cost, parking, maintance ect. The key with these cars is the maintained- I kept up with everything and it was done early, this is why I never had an issue. Buy a well maintained 745i or get a cheaper one and spend a lot on repairs, more than a well maintained one. Btw if you’re considering a 745i they can see if it was abused by the amount of pressure the transmission puts out. The transponder key stores info I can help arrange with shipping. And anything else needed. With shipping The title gets fedex’d or UPS to you and the car gets shipped without the title inside the car, otherwise they can steal the car. In the last 6 years car has been in the shop 4 times. Very reliable. Better then my E39 5 series. No leaks- nothing Any questions feel free to email me or call me at (917)478-3959 Or Text Reasonable offers only, low ball offers are not only offensive, a waste of my time and I will not bother responding. Meet the inventor of the BMW 3 Series wagon
Sat, 11 May 2013It's hard to imagine, but once upon a time, there were only two BMW 3 Series variants: the coupe and sedan. Back before gran coupes, convertibles and yes, even touring models were available, buyers could only get their 3 Series fix if it came with two or four doors and a fixed roof. Back in the mid '80s, BMW engineer Max Reisbock was having some trouble fitting his whole family into his four door. Rather than suck it up and buy a van, he picked up a wrecked 3 Series and got to cutting in a buddy's garage. Months later, he had the very first 3 Series Touring ever built.
At first, he kept the the car to himself, using it to haul friends and family around, but he eventually showed it off to his friends at work. When the BMW executives found out about his project, they called him up to take a closer look. After putting an eyeball on the car, they took it, copied his design, made a few tweaks and quickly rolled out the first production 3 Series Touring. How's that for validation? Check out the video below for Reisbock's story.
BMW i Collection puts upscale treehugging in the palm of your hand
Sun, 22 Sep 2013If BMW's new i sub-brand sounds more like it belongs to consumer electronics than it does to automobiles, that's probably no mistake. After all, electric vehicles bridge the gap between conventional automobile and electronic gadget - just ask our compatriots over at Engadget that report on them all the time. But to drive the point home even greener, BMW has, together with the new i3, launched a new collection of electronics accessories that make the Bavarian automaker as much a competitor with companies like Belkin or Griffin as it is with Audi or Mercedes-Benz.
The new BMW i Collection includes items like a solar charger for phones and MP3 players, a laptop bag made from felt-like recycled PET plastic and vegetable-tanned leather, and of course the requisite USB dongle. Other items include keyfobs, a shopping bag, notebook and ballpoint pen.
All the items, of course, are designed to extend the i3's upscale tree-hugging image to items you can hold and use while your EV is charging in the driveway. They go on sale starting next month with prices ranging from 15 euros ($20) for the pen or lanyard to 99 euros ($135) for the shopping bag. Details in the press release below and images of the whole collection in the gallery above.
BMW M3 and M4 CSL not in the cards
Mon, 27 Jan 2014We aren't sure whether to file this one under "good news" or "bad news." BMW confirmed to Top Gear that there "are no plans" for lightweight versions of the new M3 and M4, in the same vein as the E46 M3 CSL (despite rumors to the contrary). The reason?
"There wasn't a CSL on the previous generation, and the way we look at it is like this: the CSL was great because it had this real focus on lightweight engineering. But we've already done that with these new cars. We've made them as light as possible - they come in under 1500 kilograms (3,306 pounds), which for a car like this is incredible," said Matt Collins, BMW's product manager for small to medium cars.
Now, as much as we love the idea of a hardcore version of any car, we appreciate BMW's point of view that the newest Ms are already as light and tough as they need to be. Collins elaborated, saying, "Rather than doing a halfway house to begin with and then rolling out a CSL, we thought we'd make the 'real' car as light as we possibly could. So we've no plans whatsoever to make a lighter, harder version just yet."
