I am selling my 2002 745I. This has been an amazing vehicle for me to own, A pure luxury sedan which has served me well. Due to mid life crisis, I'm buying a new Jeep Rubicon and a Harley so I'm parting ways with this beauty. It has normal wear and tear for an 11 year old car but has been meticulously maintained by me cause thats just how I am with cars. The hood has some nics and such for 11 years of highway driving but the rest of the paint is excellent as you can see. The interior is phenomenal with every feature working on the vehicle including heated steering wheel, front and rear heated and cooled seats, bluetooth has been added for your iphone connectivity as well. The wheels do have some curb rash on them but nothing horrible and you can't tell from a distance. The parking sensor system works fine but one of the sensors is mis firing ($30) to repair and it will work just fine. The airbag light is illuminated so that system will need to be checked. I spoke to BMW and most likely a sensor that needs replacing. Dash, seats, etc are in great condition. Comes with the winter package so it has a ski bag inside the trunk so you can hit the slopes. Sunroof, power everything- This thing is a beauty. My bank holds a clear title and will be transferred to you clear and clean upon purchase. Buyer is responsible for shipping and a $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of item close. If you have additional questions please ask me. I have done my best to accurately describe my sweet ride. You are getting a very well maintained and clean BMW. Mileage is 146000- all Highway miles, Engine is very strong as well as transmission. X1, 3 Series power BMW back into global luxury autos sales lead
Thu, 14 Mar 2013BMW managed to eke ahead of Audi for the global luxury sales crown in February. According to Bloomberg, BMW saw deliveries swell by 7 percent in February, besting the 3.2 percent jump enjoyed by Audi and giving BMW a 407-unit delivery lead over its rival last month. Mercedes-Benz, meanwhile, continued to falter, with the brand selling some 37,229 fewer machines than BMW, whose factories are running at full capacity to keep up with demand. Models like the X1 (shown above) enjoyed a sales increase of 40 percent in February while the company's bread-and-butter 3 Series jumped by 26 percent.
Mercedes-Benz hopes to stem its continued market share loss with the addition of the entry-level CLA sedan to its portfolio in April. The company is set to roll out an updated version of its cash-cow E-Class at the same time, and a new-generation S-Class will follow along shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, the company is increasing production to meet demand for its A and B-Class models.
BMW planning six-cylinder i9 hybrid to celebrate centenary?
Mon, 28 Jul 2014On the prospect of a new BMW M1 based on the company's new i8 hybrid, the jury has been in and out so much that we can't even tell which way it's likely to go. However, the latest reports coming in from Germany suggest that BMW may have something else up its sleeves. Rather than make a conventional gas-powered version of the i8, Germany's Auto Motor und Sport says BMW will make a more powerful one.
Tentatively dubbed i9, the hybrid sports car is rumored to pack a six-cylinder internal-combustion engine instead of the i8's turbo three. Coupled to more potent electric motors, it would figure to produce even more than the 357 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque already on tap in the i8, with further weight reductions to offset the bulkier engine.
Auto Motor und Sport says the mooted model will be produced to celebrate the Bavarian automaker's 100th anniversary and eclipse the i8's performance, with a projected 0-60 run in under four seconds en-route to taking the gloves off to crunch the Autobahn in electric bliss. The new i flagship would be another member of the company's growing electrified family, joining the existing i3 hatchback, upcoming i5 minivan and possible i8 Spyder down the line.
