2001 Bmw 740il - Amazing Condition - Less Than 100k Miles on 2040-cars
Chandler, Arizona, United States
I'm selling my 2001 BMW 740iL. It's midnight blue and has ecru leather interior with blue piping and matching dark blue dash with vavona wood trim. It's in excellent condition and I have taken great care of it. It only has 99K miles which is unheard of for a car at this age. This car still turns heads. In fact this car was used in Tomorrow Never Dies (James Bond) and the Transporter, and various other movies where they needed a luxury sport sedan.
Here are some features and specs: - 282 horsepowers - 4.4-liter dual overhead-cam V8. - Sport M-Parallel wheels (all 4 brakes very recently replaced) - Plenty of thread on the tires - Power folding mirrors - 14 way power seats - Power windows and sunroof - Power rear window shade - A/C blowing ice cold air (very recently serviced) - Privacy window screen for rear seats - Heated front seats - Heated steering wheel (actually very handy in the winter) - A brand new battery (made in Germany) |

2012 Pebble Beach Concept Car Lawn offers a tutorial in cars to come
Sun, 19 Aug 2012The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is a showcase for some of the world's most exquisite vintage vehicles, but if newer metal is more your speed, the Concept Car Lawn is the place to be.
This year saw models from Bugatti, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, McLaren and Bentley as well as SRT, Hennessey, Infiniti and Lexus among others. The ultimate sampler platter of exotic and concept vehicles saw the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse mingle with the Lamborghini Urus Concept and the mighty Hennessey Venom GT, though we found ourselves particularly smitten with the BMW Zagato Roadster and the Aston Martin Vanquish.
Not that we could go wrong anywhere we looked. The 2013 Bentley Continental GT Speed seemed perfectly content parked on the manicured putting green, as did the McLaren MP4-12C Spider. Get cozy with the full gallery below to see the smattering of metal on the lawn.
BMW recalling a grand total of three X3s over instrument panel defect
Wed, 18 Dec 2013We've seen big recalls and we've seen small ones. Some involve millions of vehicles, and some - like the Infiniti Q50 recall on which we reported just the other day - involve just a couple dozen. But this has to be the smallest recall we've seen yet.
"Due to a production process error" in the BMW X3, states the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in the notice below, "the team seam on the instrument panel was not manufactured correctly." Big friggin' whoop, you say? Well, NHTSA points out that it could hinder the deployment of the airbag and send fractures flying everywhere.
The problem was discovered in a select few examples of the 2013 BMW X3 - both xDrive 28i and 35i models - manufactured in the later part of February this year. And by "select few," we literally mean a few - as in three. Three examples are being recalled. If you happen to be one of those three owners, expect to hear from your local dealership.
