For sale is a 1998 BMW 750iL with V12 engine and Automatic Transmission with 159,200 miles. The car runs very well and is quiet with no unusual motor noises. The interior is in good shape for the age with normal wear. Leather seats are in good condition with no rips just some wear on the drivers seat. Standard options include Power windows, Power locks, power seats, power tilt, heated steering wheel, heated seats, Factory Navigation, Multi Disc CD player, and power rear window privacy shade. Upgrades include Halo Headlights, 18'' M Series wheels with good tires on them, H&R Lowering Springs installed in the front (rear springs included but not installed), New outer tie rods, New thrust bushings, New rear brake Pads. The car runs and drives well but does have a couple of things that with a little time can be fixed easily. It shakes a little at certain speeds and I was told it was just a bent rim or tire out of balance. The airbag light is on (told it is a connection under the seat but doesnt harm anything) and the sunroof doesnt open. The exterior of the car still looks good but does have some small rust bubbles and dings in the rear quarter and a crack in the rear bumper (pictured). The front bumper has some bruises on it as well but nothing terrible (pictured). Overall the car is a lot of car for what im asking for it. Hard to find a 750iL at this price and with a little bit of time will be an amazing car. Feel free to ask any questions. Immediate $500 Deposit Required at time of Sale. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY |

2014 BMW X5 configurator goes live
Sun, 28 Jul 2013BMW won't begin selling the 2014 X5 for another few months, but the German manufacturer has brought the third-generation SAV's configurator online, allowing interested customers to poke around and look at the X5's optional goodies.
Like the 3 Series, the X5 is available in a number of lines that load up extras automatically. There's also a do-it-yourself truck that allows owners to pick and choose if they're not enamored with the styling or trim of one of the dedicated packages. As usual, the options list is quite vast, regardless of which line is chosen. We were able to easily take the new, rear-drive X5 sDrive35i, which started at $52,800, and bring the total price up past $80,000.
The new X5 carries over its 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 from the current model, as well as BMW's excellent 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-six. The X5 xDrive35d, with the 3.0-liter turbodiesel will also be available on the third-generation SUV, but won't hit dealers until early 2014. BMW is stepping outside of the X5's usual bounds, offering a dedicated rear-drive model, available with all the same trimmings as the xDrive vehicles. Head over to BMW's US consumer page and have a go.
BMW working on 2 Series Active Hybrid Tourer
Wed, 14 May 2014The cover may have officially been pulled off the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer at the Geneva Motor Show, but BMW has apparently continued working on other variants behind closed doors. While at first glance this prototype looks like any other Active Tourer, the "Hybrid Test Vehicle" stickers on the passenger door and rear bumper give it away as something a little different.
Details about the hybrid Active Tourer are somewhat sketchy at the moment, but BMW indicated its likely direction for the electrified hatchback in the earlier Concept Active Tourer. It used a hybridized 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor with a total system output of 190 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. The company claimed that it had a roughly 19-mile electric range and could hit 62 miles per hour in under 8 seconds. However, the Bavarian automaker hasn't said yet whether this powertrain would be used in the production version.
The internal combustion 2 Series Active Tourer is rumored to come to the US in 2015. Given the nearly complete look of the test car, the hybrid might not be too far behind.
BMW M3 driving off cliff is a chilling PSA
Mon, 10 Jun 2013We're a little shocked that the unnamed owner of this cliff-diving E46 BMW M3 would upload the in-car footage of his accident to YouTube. Not only that, he uploaded two videos: raw footage of his roll down the cliff (it looks like somewhere in the Southwest, maybe Arizona) and a tribute video for his BMW that suffered the most severe consequences of understeer. Not only does uploading the videos leave him wide open for judgment by fellow enthusiasts (just read the YouTube comments), but we imagine if the police and his insurance company somehow don't know about the incident already, they will shortly. Scroll below to view for yourself.
The raw footage shows the sort of driving that led to the M3's violent tumble, and it serves as a good public service announcement reminder for everyone out there: Just like the Spengler's streams, double yellow lines aren't meant to be crossed. Also, hard driving is one thing, but hammering on public roads at speeds clearly above your skill levels as a driver is not only a recipe for legal trouble, it's a script for ruining your car at the very least, if not your life.
