Fellows!!.
I have here a well maintained old timers ultimate driving machine, unmolested, bone stock EURO model imported straight from Germany back in the days by an ex- navy officer. Who happen to be my grandpa's buddy. Long story short my grandfather got it from him at least 17 years ago and ever since been in the family as my grandfather's not to be mess with or touched prime possession ( no one cared for his big old ugly car with old instrument cluster in german language only him understood anyway). But as he was aging and later a bit immobile due to arthritis and other old age related illnesses, he couldn't keep up with it any more and the car was sitting on the driveway and just decaying for a bit off 4 years or more ( not sure anymore ). After my beloved honda transmission went down, I was in a bind and needed some to drive, so I was really contemplating paying for a tune up on pape's mobile or come up with at least $2500 ( i didn't have) to fix my accord's tranny. Surprisingly It needed just a jump and some tires to get going. Fast forward three (3) years later, It's been titled to me, Honda been sold for parts and got the following done to Pape's car * Transmission fluid drained 2 times and filter replaced * All fuel line replaced due to dry rotting by Bmw oem rubber replacement( only sell by meters these guys nutts) * All rubber hoses, boots , belts, vaccum lines replaced. * 6 NGK spark plugs * Distributor cap & rotor * K&N air filter ( fits in stock air filter box ) * 2 Bosch sensors by the transmission that were brittle and loosely connected * Stainless steel exhaust system with dual 2.5" pipes with magnaflow muffler ( sounds very intimidating!!!) * Rebuilt calipers with new brake pads * Rear self leveling system deleted and replaced by Bilstein HD's * All coolant fluid replaced * Differential fluid replaced * Engine oil too of course and a couple of light bulbs * Also did replace the german instrument panel for the heat and ac as well as the speedometer that was reading in kilometers * Very responsive due to better breathing at intake and exhaust, associated with better gas mileage too. * Very spacious in the cabin, with a huge trunk. Everything works on this car including sunroof, mirrors, windows, and power seats. will definitely blow your mind of how smooth, comfortable and fast this old car really is. I have dusted my friend with his 2003 e39 530i like there was no tomorrow. Needless to say he was in total disbelief. It was a very humbling experience owning this car, now looking to pass it on to someone who can really take it to the top of it's potential as it has now only 137xxx kilometer which is 86k mi. NO RUST, NO ACCIDENTS and for sure NOT a LEMON. I still have all the parts replaced from it and spare interior wood trim pieces and miscellaneous parts for the new owner Please understand that this is a NO RESERVE auction and I reserve the right to end auction as It's advertised locally. Serious individuals only need to apply, BMW enthusiast and collector definitely a plus. Thanks! |

BMW 1 Series sedan interior revealed
Sun, 09 Nov 2014The next BMW 1 Series Sedan has made another appearance following our last peek at it in September, and this time, the gallery of images even reveals part of the new car's interior.
Of course, if these images prove anything, it's that manufacturers take camouflage of the interior just as seriously as they do the exterior. We can see in these images a fairly simple cabin, with what looks like a fixed central display. It's quite small, although the housing itself is rather large, so we could be looking at a more basic form of iDrive rather than the full-featured set. Overall, though, this cabin more or less confirms that the 1 Series Sedan will fit in with the rest of the BMW family quite nicely.
Outside of the interior images, though, there isn't a lot of new stuff revealed by these images. As for when we'll see both the interior and exterior fully undisguised, our spies continue pointing to a 2016 debut with a 2017 on-sale date.
BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe spotted wearing minimal camo, M Sport pack
Mon, 14 Oct 2013The new BMW 4 Series is essentially the coupe version of the latest 3 Series. So it would stand to reason that the four-door version of the 4 Series, in turn, would be the 3 Series - right? Well, yes and no.
Just as BMW offers both a 5 Series sedan and a four-door version of the 6 Series called the Gran Coupe, so, too, will its 4-Series family expand. So following the release of the new 4 Series Convertible, here we have the latest batch of spy shots showing the upcoming 4 Series Gran Coupe - which in turn should not be confused with the hunchbacked 3 Series Gran Turismo, which is more of a sporty wagon than a four-door coupe.
The nearly ready test vehicle pictured here is wearing only minimal camouflage to hide some last few details, but also appears to be wearing the M Sport package that will bridge the gap (at least, visually speaking) between the base models and the M4 Gran Coupe that is all but certain to follow.
2014 BMW X5 priced from $53,725*
Mon, 24 Jun 2013A month after the official curtain was dropped, BMW has seen fit to release pricing information on its new 2014 X5 crossover. The X5 sDrive35i, which is the first rear-wheel-drive version of the X5, will begin at $53,725 (*including $925 for destination and handling) while the traditional all-wheel-drive X5 xDrive35i will begin at $56,025. Both feature BMW's well-regarded 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo N55 engine with 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque.
The 2014 BMW X5 xDrive35d (Have these convoluted names confused you yet?) is priced at $57,525 with its 3.0-liter diesel engine (255 hp and 413 lb-ft), and, finally, the TwinPower Turbo V8-powered X5 xDrive50i (445 hp and 480 lb-ft) will start at $69,125. Buyers looking to customize their X5 experience can choose from the Luxury Line, xLine or M Sport packages, plus Ivory White and Mocha Interior Design Packages. Regardless of which engine is chosen, the X5 will come equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
For comparison, the 2013 X5 xDrive35i started at $48,425. That means the price has increased by over $5,000 despite not including standard all-wheel drive or by $7,600 when comparing apples to apples with similar six-cylinder engines and power to all four wheels. The V8 model increased by $4,000 and the diesel, interestingly enough, dropped by $100.
