Up for auction is my wife's pristine 2008 BMW 335i with the Sport and Luxury Packages. This car has been adult driven by a non-smoker with primarily highway miles (as my wife is in sales). The car is in the beautiful BMW Artic color which is a blue / gray color. The car has HID headlights and halogen fog lights. The car is also equipped with the factory BMW iPod integrator and Bluetooth. The car is in excellent condition with all the maintenance being performed by Roadshow BMW in Memphis, TN, BMW of Fairfax in Fairfax, VA, and RRT in Dulles, VA. The car is covered with a transferable CPO extended warranty that has coverage to 100,000 miles for all factory maintenance (including oil changes) and most repairs; the warranty expires March 2, 2015. The only repair / preventative maintenance item that we have paid for is the cleaning of the intake with the BMW factory walnut media cleaning tool. This is a preventative maintenance item that is not covered by the factory BMW extended warranty. As such, we had this performed by RRT with the factory BMW cleaning tool and the results have been great (this is a $1,000 to $1,500 service). If you know direct injection BMW's...you know that this must be done around 50 - 60k to ensure peak performance out of your BMW. This BMW has the 326HP N54 engine and it has had the new high pressure fuel pump (HPFP) installed and we have had no issues with the HPFP since the replacement under the factory recall. This engine is an amazing engine and is extremely responsive. I am a BMW guy (we also have an E28 M5) and I hate to see this car go; however, my wife wanted a SUV since we've moved to Northern Virginia for inclement weather. She absolutely loves this car and has babied it. I have done all the detail work on the car with Meguiar car care products. The only blemishes this car has are a few wheel scrapes which are very difficult to avoid and the front lower air dam was replaced with an OEM replacement after a valet attendant ran it into a parking spot block...otherwise this car has not been involved in any accidents and is in fantastic shape. The car is and has been kept in a climate controlled garage. The car is available for local pickup and it is available for shipping but, the buyer is responsible for arrangements. A $500 deposit is required within 24 hours of auction conclusion and full payment is due within 5 days via certified check and / or wire.

BMW M4 Concept leaked ahead of Monterey debut
Thu, 15 Aug 2013Last month, we heard that BMW might be bringing a concept previewing its next M4 sports coupe to this year's Monterey festivities. Well, thanks to the folks at USA Today, we have absolute confirmation of this by way of some leaked images. And goodness, she's certainly a looker.
While a few of us still find some of the 4 Series' design to be a bit awkward, it's hard to not immediately warm up to the aggressive bits of this hotter M4 concept. It certainly looks the business of a proper sports car, and a worthy successor to the M3 coupe. Of course, a lot of this will likely be toned down for the production version, which we'll likely be seeing at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show in January, along with its four-door M3 kin.
The official M4 Concept details will be revealed later tonight, but for now, have a look at a few shots of the golden show car in our gallery of leaked shots, above.
Audi overtakes BMW as adulterers' favorite car brand

For instance, IllicitEncounters.com - a UK dating site for married folks (also known as adultery) - is reporting that a recent poll shows that more people willing to cheat on their spouses drive an Audi. Last year, this same poll showed that BMW was the car-of-choice for adulterers.
With Audi on top (pun intended) and BMW bumped to number two, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo and Volkswagen round out the top five car brands owned by unfaithful wives and husbands. Alpina B3 Bi-Turbo burns all the midnight oil
Wed, 11 Sep 2013We've got good news and bad news for you, boys and girls, from the floor of the Frankfurt Motor Show. The good news is that the BMW M3 has come early, with a diesel, in wagon form - albeit with a different name. The bad news is that it will in all likelihood never make it to America. Which is a shame, because it's awesome.
What we're talking about, of course, is the new Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo. BMW's wickedly talented but lesser know stepchild has created a 3 Series with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel six packing 345 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. You - and by "you," we mean overseas buyers - can choose between sedan or wagon, as well as rear- or all-wheel drive. But the bottom line is a 4.6-second 0-62 time and a 173-mph top speed... from a diesel.
