Just to clear up it this is NOT a show car. Although I have won plenty trophies with it! This vehcile was built to be driven daily. Unfortunately I don't. That is why I am selling it, I rarely have time to drive it anymore. I put less than 1000 miles a year on it since it was built in 08. This vehicle, like all BMW's are meant to be driven. So I am hoping someone else can enjoy this Ultimate Drving Machine the way I have for the past 4-5 years. That being said I am in rush to sell this car so please NO LOW BALL offers!
SUSPENSION / BRAKES:

That's the good. Now for the BAD: - Small chip in front right valence where it meets the lower bumper. (Ask for pics) - Front spliter has some chips from normal driving and bottoming out. (Ask for pics) - Recently lost the right rear center cap. Haven't been able to locate one yet. I belive someone stole it because you can't get them anymore :-( - If driven for long trips once parked, transmission fluid has minor leak. Needs new gasket, trans has to be pulled to do so. - And of course (as in most E30s) the A/C does not work. It has been retrofitted/converted/updated to current "new" refrigerant, R-134a, replacing the R-12 Freon.

BMW i3 misses top Euro safety rating [w/videos]
Wed, 27 Nov 2013The Euro NCAP just tested a recent batch of new cars including the 2014 BMW i3, and the EV Bimmer scored less-than-perfect results. Though not horrible, BMW's all-electric/range-extended i3 was given a four-star (out of five possible) crash rating due to concerns with front-occupant whiplash and side-impact protection.
Based on the crash results, the BMW provided suitable protection for occupants in the frontal, side barrier, pedestrian and child-seat tests, but the i3 was tripped up when it came to the more severe side pole test and the rear-impact test. The pole test showed protection to the chest of the test dummy was "weak," and the front seats only provided "marginal" protection against whiplash for front passengers. BMW revises X1 to tide it over until replacement
Tue, 17 Dec 2013It's been over five years since BMW first introduced the X1 at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, and a bit over a year since it brought the compact crossover to these shores. Soon the Bavarian automaker will replace the X1 with a new model based on the company's new front-drive architecture, but not before it gives it a few updates to keep it fresh.
Set to be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show next month alongside the Z4 Pure Fusion Design and the new M3 sedan and M4 coupe, the enhanced X1 benefits from some new exterior accents, a spruced-up interior and new technology packed inside.
New air intakes in the bumper and integrated daytime driving lights distinguish the front end, with new wheel and color options available. Inside, certain versions get a new dashboard treatment, among other minor trim updates, and BMW has installed its latest ConnectedDrive suite to keep it up with the times. A closer look at the 2015 BMW M3 and M4
Fri, 17 Jan 2014It's fair to say we're going to miss the E92 BMW M3. Its high-revving V8, flame-styled looks and excellent driving character made it quite simply one of the best cars of the 2000s. Its replacements, the new M3 Sedan and M4 Coupe have a lot to live up to.
We still have a few months to wait until we can drive the new cars, but that doesn't mean we can't get excited in the meantime, learning everything we can. To find out, we sent west coast editor Michael Harley onto the Detroit Auto Show floor earlier this week to talk about the new M cars with BMW product manager Victor Leleu.
