I'm selling my amazing, reliable 1990 E30 325i BMW. She runs great and looks even better - she turns heads every time I drive her (especially with her top down)! Got a Clean Title and never been in any accident. She's a BMW enthusiast's dream.

I have thousands in service records in hand from a well-known specialty BMW shop. The convertible top is brand new and made of the original and authentic OEM German materials. I had the entire interior reupholstered. I used high-end vinyl because it holds up much better with sun exposure than leather. The carpeting throughout is in outstanding condition. I also upgraded the front bumper to the more modern (original BMW) plastic bumper, with all new lights (headlights are original). I must say, she had 188k miles and has plenty more to go! I still have all the original fog/tail lights. The car has been painted Metallic Black (BMW OEM color code 199) and it looks fantastic!

What is new:
  • New radiator
  • New battery
  • New hoses
  • Every last gasket was replaced
  • Starter
  • Ignition Coil
  • Spark plugs
  • Thermostat
  • Upgraded odometer gears in the cluster
  • A new rebuilt head (never overheated)
  • Drive shaft flex joint
  • Timing belt kit
  • Timing belt tensioner spring
  • Timing belt spring pin
  • Brand new rotors and pads all around
  • New rear suspension

BMW 8 Series revival not coming anytime soon

    Mon, 19 Aug 2013

If you thought the BMW Gran Lusso Coupe concept that was shown at Villa d'Este a few months back was a preview of a new BMW 8 Series, prepare to be disappointed. According to a report from the UK's Autocar, BMW officials have "rejected suggestions" that a production model based on the concept was coming. To be fair, though, would you expect them to just acknowledge it?
The Brits seem to be thinking the same, as the story went on to quote BMW research and development chief, Herbert Diess, who claimed, "We're looking into the possibility of production, but a decision is still a way off." Diess also points out that it's far too early for anything to be confirmed, seeing as how the concept only debuted about 10 weeks ago.
The well-received Gran Lusso was penned by Pininfarina and motivated by a brawny, twelve-cylinder engine. If it were to enter production, it'd likely sit at the top of BMW's gas-powered offerings, and would compete against the Mercedes-Benz CL AMG and Bentley Continental GT.

    Dinan S3-R BMW 1M Coupe

    Wed, 02 Apr 2014

I nearly shed tears a few years ago upon learning that BMW was only planning to produce a very limited quantity of its then-new 2011 1 Series M Coupe. In simplest terms, the two-door was a 1 Series fitted with a modified version of the automaker's twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, and the running gear (gearbox, driveshaft, axles) from contemporary M3 models. It was also a return to form for the brand. Aggressively short and stubby in stature but packing telltale flared wheel arches that hinted at its potential, the four-seater was a spiritual successor to the original (and much loved) E30 M3 from decades earlier.
After spending a day with the original high-performance 1 at New York's Monticello Motor Club, I declared, "The little coupe with the big flares is old-school retro cool and deliciously fun to drive ... the new BMW 1 Series M Coupe doesn't target boy-racers, it targets enthusiasts." Yet sadly - and despite strong demand - BMW limited the model's production to just one year. All told, only 740 units made it to the States, and each was gobbled up at a starting price of $46,135, a price tag history will show to be a bargain.
Since I had little hope of even driving one again, I deliberately pushed all memories of BMW's 1 Series M Coupe from my mind - until my phone rang recently. On the other end was a representative from Dinan Engineering who wanted to know if I would be interested in driving the company's new S3-R BMW 1M. A quick Google search revealed it to be a heavily modified version of the discontinued 1 Series M Coupe. As if they needed an answer...

This BMW 2 Series ad has run afoul of Aussie ad watchdogs [w/poll]

    Tue, 29 Apr 2014

A complaint by an Australian movie-goer has put the brakes on an extended in-theater ad campaign by BMW, and drawn the attention of the country's Advertising Standards Board. According to the anonymous complaint, the ad "portrays an unfavorable message, contrary to safe and sensible driving."
The ASB upheld the complaint, which said the ad for the new M235i showed driving "typical of hoon activity," thanks to the burnouts, dusty drifts and runs up to redline. It's that last one that seems to have gotten the spot in the most trouble, with the ASB acknowledging that even though the car wasn't shown breaking the speed limit, the ad was in violation of a voluntary code of conduct for automotive advertising, according to Australia's Go Auto.
BMW doesn't seem to agree, pointing out that the ad uses creative editing, aggressive camera angles and other filming tricks to "add visual impact."
