I am selling my 1988 E30 Touring in dark blue. I imported this from the UK earlier this year, where I owned it for the last few years. It is fully registered in Oklahoma with a clear title in my name. The touring has the popular m20b25 engine with 5 speed manual transmission. Even with the mileage nearing 193,000 miles, it still runs strong. Comes with the 15" BBS "Euroweaves" wheels. Caps are not pictured but are included. I had intentions on keeping this car for a while and have replaced the front and rear pads/rotors, the timing belt, water pump, thermostat, and battery. Car has a 13 button OBC which works. The screen isn't the brightest though. Euro headlights with the headlight wipers, although I have never bothered testing them. Standard seats with the driver's needing replaced. Central locking which works as it should. Original Blaupunkt stereo fully functional. Optional cassette holder as well. Being 25+ years old, this car is NOT perfect. Please take a look at all the pictures very thoroughly. There are a couple of small rust spots and areas where the clear is peeling, all detailed in the pictures. I have tried to go over the car and document all the little things that need sorting.
Overall a great car that has been a reliable daily driver. Please ask any questions you may have. Car is available for inspection during the auction, please message me to arrange. Deposit of $500 via paypal due within 48 hours of auction ending, remainder due as cash on collection. Car must be collected within 14 days. Buyer is responsible for arranging collection, but I will help any way I can. On Apr-22-14 at 17:18:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Car is located in OKC and can be viewed before auction ends. This car is sold as is, as seen, no warranties/guarantees expressed or implied. |

BMW offers M Performance Power Kit for 2012 335i sedan
Thu, 28 Mar 2013BMW has let loose a new M Performance Power Kit for its F30-generation 335i and 335i xDrive sedans. Starting at $1,100 for the kit - installation is extra - your car will be fitted with a new ECU and air intake on the functional side and an M Performance engine cover and rocker panel stickers on the decorative side. The Power Kit raises the 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder's horsepower rating from 300 to 320, and on automatic models, torque gets a boost from 300 pound-feet to 332 lb-ft - manual transmission models get a smaller bump to 317 lb-ft.
According to the Bavarian automaker, you'll be able to hear the change in the overrun exhaust note, and 0-60 mile-per-hour times drop by 0.2 seconds. The package is available now at all BMW Centers in the US, and if you get it installed when you purchase the car new, it will get the same four-year, 50,000-mile warranty as the vehicle. Have it done after the fact and the kit will be warranted for two years and unlimited miles. There's a press release below with some more details.
BMW to launch loaner program to avoid range anxiety on i models
Tue, 12 Mar 2013BMW is looking to stave off electric vehicle range anxiety with a new program that offers buyers a free gasoline loaner with every i3 purchase. Ward's Auto reports BMW is confident that the EV will give buyers the kind of transportation they need for 90 percent of their trips. The loaners, meanwhile, will be available for those few occasions when drivers need to cover more ground than the machine's batteries will allow. The i3 gets around with help from a 180-horsepower electric motor paired with a lithium-ion battery pack.
The combo is good for trips of between 80 and 100 miles depending on driving habits and weather conditions, though BMW also plans to offer a model with a small two-cylinder range-extending gasoline engine as well. That option will likely set you back an additional $4,000. When the machine bows in 2014, it will likely come with a charge time of four to six hours when suckling from a 220-volt outlet.
As far as the conventionally powered loaner car goes, the cost of the program is included in the i3's purchase price, though BMW has yet to figure out how many free loans will be offered, or what happens after that threshold is reached.
BMW: i8 sold out, i3 records 10k orders
Mon, 25 Nov 2013Just in case anyone was wondering how plug-in BMW cars would be received, the answer is apparently "quite well." After speaking with BMW's global sales chief last week at the LA Auto Show, Reuters has learned that the plug-in hybrid i8 sports coupe is already sold out for its first year on the market.
There is no word as to how many i8s BMW sold, but the first example was delivered to a customer last week in Germany. As for the all-electric/range-extended i3 hatchback, the automaker has received more than 10,000 orders for this model before it even goes on sale. Likewise, we don't know how many BMW plans to sell, but we do know they'll be showing up in the US before next summer.
We've already spent some time behind the wheel of both plug-in BMWs, and you can check out our first drive of the production i3 and our first drive of an i8 prototype.
